What sort of spinach are you buying that's sticky? And where can I get some?

Can you get some? Are you really *that* desperate? Have you ever tried putting out a personal?

Really? I thought that would be more of a leek sort of thing to do

Leeks are the salt of the earth. I do believe someone--possibly a brussel sprout--has been feeding you misinformation.

What have you got against root vegetables that wear berets and read poetry?

That's one thing to say. Others are "banana bread", "flim-flam man" and "the New York Times".

Oh yeah, and what wonderful cakes I can have, i.e. only sugar free, white flour free cakes, meaning I either eat a sugar free wheat cake or I eat a splenda sweetened flourless cake...
Okay, the later is absolutely true. I make a cake with just eggs- I whip them until they're about 40x their original mass, then I fold a vanilla/chocolate/splenda/cocoa mix into that, bake for about 15 minutes, let cool for 10, then cover with whipped cream (w/ vanilla and about 1 tablespoon of splenda). Roll, refrigerate, and voila! about the only cake-like thing I can eat.
