Well I spent last night *joyfully* playin around with my ISDN-card and I managed to get my drivers etcetera installed. They generate no error at all now...but when I start windows it comes up with two messages that I suspect are hardware-related .So i guess it's time to swap the ISDN-card and retry....

Unfortunately this USDN-card was supplied by the telephone-company when I purchased ISDN and it turns out that they made a deal with a German company called TELES to supply the telco with the equipment. I just read an ISDN-card-testreport and TELES comes out worst of all....So I may just go to the store and get myself a proper $ 35,-- ISDN-card...

To be continued... Hell I might even write an entry about it...

If anyone can bungle ISDN it would be the telco. They set mine up such that I could only make voice calls on it. Heap of good that did me.

Well I found out today that ISDN under Win98 requires another version of the drivers.....they just didn't get around to telling anyone...

But HEY !!! In the words of Russel Casse : "Hello boys, I'M BAACCCK...

As for me, I'm just trying to sort everything out. I left for a week to find h2g2 now has new smilies, a new skin (which I don't really care for), and that a forum from the days when I had detective work to do has been ressurected.

And I don't see where you get toungue from that. I know that's what it's supposed to be, but I only see a face that looks like it's trying to mock someone.

Afgncaap5 (Unemployed Detective).....don't feel alone. I don't care for the new "skin" either!smiley - sadface....Looks too much like "Yahoo"! I'll stick with the "Blue Goo" thank you very much!

Can't say where these old threads are coming from......just hope the PTB straighten out the loading direction before my finger gets too numb!smiley - winkeye

.......By the way, "A".....welcome back!smiley - smiley
