Hi, Honey. We're home!
Posted Oct 30, 2011
Hi all. A big thanks to everyone who made possible the escape from Auntie Beeb and got us settled into our old comfy home here at h2g2.com. Now that we're here, I'm going to have to clean out the cobwebs from my old room, but since things are in storage (probably three or a dozen hard drives ago) and since I'm currently busy with new(er) projects, that might just take a while.
Just thought I'd let y'all know this is a happy camper now.

Found my goo
Posted Feb 19, 2011
Thanks to two helpful researchers. Now I'm trying to figure out what the 9 and c used to be before they told us we could no longer use the font tag.

Where the hell is my goo?
Posted Feb 18, 2011
This "revamped" hootoo look sux big time. I want my goo, for one. For another, clicking on the links in the convo list for "my last posting" brings me to "Sorry, that page doesn't exist." So where did everything go. This is ugly, only moderately functional, and more difficult to find anything.
Figures that now the Beeb has utterly destroyed hootoo, they want to sell it. At least now they warn you they're going to steal your stuff. Let them use _this_ for a testimonial.
Irritated
PS And where did the smilies go?

Here I am again
Posted Dec 1, 2010
Nothing much happened this year. I signed in FTHOI, and ended up having to update to a BBC ID, which didn't make me any happier with the Beeb than I was when they took over so many years ago. Just looked up and saw the burb on the add a journal entry page. "We all lead interesting lives..."
So little they know.

Update
Posted Jan 7, 2009
My, my! I get around here often, don't I?
To cut things a lot shorter than that last one: Probate for Dad didn't get finished until May of last year (2008). I got ripped off on the farm in more ways than one (starting when the place was ransacked and destroyed -- a long story in and of itself). We didn't get a chance to move.
We were forced to send my granddaughter to public school because we were supposedly neglecting her education (though they never have explained why she has never got less than a C (and only about 2 of them), started out in reading/spelling with A's (and has kept it up), and has been on the Merit Roll every quarter in the last 3 years). Even though she's in 'school' I'm still doing the teaching, as she hasn't had the brightest of teachers. The only thing sending her to school has done is give me less time to teach her.
Life goes on, or so they say.
