I know this woman very well. She worked in my office for a long time, since as you may recall I'm at the BBC as well. And a very nice high-speed connection they've furnished me with, too.

She's a lovely person and if you can help her out, I'm sure it'll lead to something interesting.

SPINY (aka Ship's Cook)

Sorry for not answering sooner, I've been off dispensing justice in her Majesty's courts.

She didn't know I was an h2g2 researcher, and this thing has only slowly been coming together. It was when she saw my photograph on the Scottish meet page that she realised with a shock that she knew one of the towel-clad people standing in front of the Scott monument. So we've been talking since I got back to work, and what she's up to looks pretty interesting, so I'd urge you to get involved if you can.
