Hello B'Elana
Elton seems a bit of a lad. I too have one that is bit of a lad. Into just about everything and follows you everywhere and yes I mean everywhere in the flat you go he goes! He is a standard syrian 9 months old and his name is Maximus Aurelious. No not kidding. He has the biggest black eyes and is tiny. I have five other reprobates too. Makes for an interesting life and odd perk from my last job. Most people when they get paid overtime as far as I am aware don't usually get paid in hamsters!!

Hello fur_balls,
my sons had hamsters, but it was so heartbreaking when they died, that I refused to ever have another hamster, about two years lifetime is just too short.
What was your last job then, if you don't mind me asking ?

I am sorry to hear that. I worked in a small pet shop back in hertfordshire. It is very hard to lose a pet. But I still keep getting hamsters, funny sort of addiction really. Vladimir was 2 years old, he had renal failure and it had reached the point where no more could be done. His little bod will cremated and go to a pet cemetery and crematorium called Silvermere Haven Limited. Despite the traumas of this morning I like a sucker keep coming back for more, I have five more little rascals.

Yes, hamsters are cute, I loved those we had to bits, that's why I decided against having others and going through their loss again. When the first hamster died, due to an accident my son thought was his fault, he was traumatised for several days, didn't go to school and anything.
