Not only have I been summoned to an unknown place........it appears I've undergone a sex change as well. You know...this is getting curiouser and curiouser!!!!!.....I'm getting very confused.....who am I?......What am I? Pookas are large animal spirits, usually mischevious. Hang around drunks and the slightly left of centre.
I first found out about pookas from an old Jimmy Stewart flick called 'Harvey', where Jimmy plays Elwood P Dowd who, using the words of the time, was a drunkard. His best friend was Harvey, a 7 1/2 ft white rabbit that only he could see. Harvey was/is a pooka.
