Sage advice BB.
Joins in the celebrations again.
The 1-2 hour stints at sleep seem to be okay now. I hope I'm just getting used to it. I certainly hope that I'm not still in the honeymoon period.

you might want to keep a little notebook, to write down any hallucinatory events you'll have due to a lack of sleep, though.
1-2 hours is not a lot

now wasn't that a nice comment by me just now, so typical of someone who has no clue whatsoever of what this is like for you?
Hallucinatory events my foot...

Wowbagger Posted Apr 7, 2001
No Hallucinatory events are pretty close.
Most of the time my wife or I dream that we're feeding/changing/looking after him, until we wake to his cries, realising that we weren't doing it at all and that NOW we do. So in essence we get to do it twice. LOL

Hang in there - this too will pass, then you'll get enough sleep till he's a teenager, and you're up because he's missed curfue by several hours! Boys are great, though. I wouldn't have missed one minute of my son's life - and still wouldn't. I get second-hand adventures through him now.

You look down on an 'untainted' newly born child an think -- what is to become of you? Are you the type of child I'll have fun drinking with once you come of age? The possibilities seem endless at this point.

ey, what kind of father are you?! the kid's barely alive yet, and you're already dreaming of merrily pouring alcohol into your corroding livers together?! shame... whatever the boy becomes is indeed endlessly variable at this point, but as for the father, I think we can safely say there's no saving that one )

Fortunately, we all - Wowbagget included - like our Wowbagger just the way he is.
Speaking of hallucinations, how goes the whole new world of inspiration for the comic strip?

What sort of father am I Prez? An Australian father, that's what! LOL . A future of cricket, rugby, car racing and Aussie Rules for Lachlan.
Well... not quite. I'm really not into sports that much. He can watch the violent ones on television.
As for drinking.... what teenage/early 20s child wants to drink with their old man? Or vice versa? I'm just hoping he'll be a nice enough guy that we'll WANT to socialise with each other. I know it's a bit much to ask but.... LOL

I'm sure that Lachlan will want to spend plenty of time with his papa, Rob. Just make sure that he doesn't want to spend too much time there. (My brother is still at home at age 19 and not showing any sign of heading off to college or life...)

*Shows up with a fresh supply of for all, and bags of really unhealthy junk food. *
What you need is a night out with your wife, Wowbagger... is there a convenient Grandmother who will take over duties for an evening? I'd offer myself for the job, but you'd have to pay my airfare. haha!
Yippee!!!!!!
Wowbagger Posted Apr 18, 2001
drat drat drat, but thanks for the offer mari-rae.
Grandmothers yes, we have two -- but things are okay for the moment. We're happy to be home. Most have said that by the 3 months old period, we'll be grabbing anyone who even LOOKS like wanting to babysit. LOL
So mari-rae... you want to come to Brisbane, Australia in a couple of months? LOL
