I seldom award Klaxons and as a rule I think this is to close to call as the Klaxon was awarded for a statment that had the correct answer in it.

I think you should make the decision but you must be sure it is a fair one, and it should for politenes be clearly explaned.

As for Klaxons there is no appeal the person who sets the question and only the person who sets the question has the final decision. I do think all things in moderation is a good policy. This is not the first time we have had a differance of opinions, is it GT and I do see both your points of view. Keep it light and keep it fun.

How about setting a time limit on a QI at the start of it, good, bad or indifferent idea?

I was thinking of setting a 2 week time limit on my next QI, that way if its not resolved those sitting around waiting for the answer don't get too fed up... Perhaps there should be a default time limit after which you will take the scores and declare the QI closed? Hmm, maybe a tad too authoritative...

No point it is again up to the questiopn setter. A statement such as

"I will call a halt to this one in the next 3 days unless......"

Or drop hints the size of a blue whale, just manage the question and it will finish before everyone gets fed up

Oh and keep it simple that helps to speed things up a bit
