Working on a Sunday
Posted Jul 18, 1999
Here I am, in work on a Sunday, I thought weekends were meant to be my
break from all that?? Oh well, I had a smashing curry last night, and tonight
I shall relax with a bottle of wine and a good film, and maybe the
pub afterwards. I have my new car as well, which is gorgeous and svelte,
and very much a babe magnet (not). I went clubbing in Newcastle on
Friday and I got so wrecked I had a day-long hangover on Saturday.
Not doing that again!!

God, I am bored. Today I have to go to Middlesbrough. Great.. it's a craphole. 2 hours round trip just to fix a bleedin' printer. Grrrrrrrr.
Why is it the moment I am glad to see the end of the weekend, 5 minutes later I'm desperate for the next weekend to arrive? Is this what they call adulthood?
I want my money back!

Hurrah! It's Friday, and I get to a) leave work early and b) get pissed. This is good news for the world.
If anyone fancies joining me in this endeavour, drop me a line.

Have written and deployed a totally original shopping cart system from scratch. YES! Makes this all worthwhile somehow. Plus, it's a Friday, which means I can go out and get drunk as a skunk tonight and snog some slapper. Life doesn't get much better...
