No point at all ... we're talking about the sun's arc in the daytime sky rather than time zones.
Given that you're some 3 degrees west of the longitude here, the sun will set at least 10 minutes later and I was sharing this with you (based on a motion of a little under 4 minutes of time per degree of longitude). Today's official sunset times show that it will set oop north about 15 minutes later than it will dahn sarf.
So if it had been a sunny day and there had been a yardarm ...

I'm not sure this sunset criterion is the right way to go you know, given the variation from midsummer to midwinter.

It's moving to an increase in drinking hours for us in the northern hemisphere, so now is not the time of year to change it.
Besides, the yardarm would feel neglected
