Some people in this country are determined to make life difficult for other people, irrespective of the consequenses of their views on the greater public.
I have just received notice that our local creche (day-care centre) is to be closed down, all because of the actions of a very determined, selfserving and evil-minded local resident.
Childcare is a major issue in this state - it's expensive, difficult to come by, and badly supported - and while our government on one hand have campaigned to make more childcare places available, they are supporting decisions to close creches throughout the state.
We have been given one week to find somewhere else.
This country is a country of NIMBYs! When will our government realise that parents have rights too?

Deflated

I feel deflated because a thread I started innocently enough turned into a nightmare thread, which left a lot of people annoyed and upset. 
Issues that should not have been brought out were raised, and in trying to bring the thread back to the original topic, I lost my temper and only made matters worse. 
Hopefully I have gone some way to smooth things over.

Cannibal Goldfish

My goldfish is a cannibal! We added two new goldfish friends to his pond over the weekend and they are gone, disappeared, vanished! Freddy the goldfish is still there of course, ambling around the pond, drinking chianti and listening to classical music.
The question I want to know is how he did it? I didn't see any knives around the pool on Sunday...
And what is the law on punishing goldfish for cannibalism?
