Aw, it's OK we still love ya! I will be following what I can of the games today amidst errands that I am going to be running. Not really awake yet as I got home somethine after 4 yesterday.

Don't you mean 4 *this* morning? That's much more impressive.
Snooping around on team sites courtesy of [url removed by moderator], I noticed a lot of players list "professional" wrestlers as some of their favorite "athletes" (they should have said "actors"). What does that say about a person? That they're gullible? They like Grand Guignol television events? Or they're just plain goofy?
Sigh. Back to work. Such that it is.

Four this morning yes... I cannot think well yet without my first dose of Caffiene.

Heaven forbid you wouldn't be able to think! I had no caffeine this morning, and look how well *I'm* doing!

Heyyyyyy! Have you finally figured out how to log on the "new and improved" h2g2?
We're officially talking about hockey here. If you have any pithy comments to add, feel free.

Hockey is a great subject. I cannot wait for the LA game tonight so I can cheer for the Kings.

You're right. Hockey *is* a great subject. Can we possibly end the strange interlude?
The Kings, huh? Tell me it's just because you don't want to see the Wings move on to the Semis...

Oh god. Only 4 minutes left in the 1st period, and already the Sabres have two goals...maybe if I threaten the Flyers with death again...

What the...? The 2nd's almost over and it's 0-6! 0-6!?!?!?! Talk about going out with bang, or going down in flames. Which is suitable, since their team colors *are* orange and black.
Makes one want to change allegiances...
any suggestions?

Now the score is 0-7. I am going home and lowering the flag to half-mast. I will no longer be watching hockey today. Casey is no longer at the bat. Thank you.

Well, Pittsburgh is actually closer to Montana than Philly...
0-8 was the final. Sabres advance.
Meanwhile, the hockey gods have smiled on LA. They took the momentum from the 'Miracle off Manchester' into the Joe and handed the Wings their first home loss this calendar year! The series is coming back to our building, and the Kings have the opportunity to close it out!
And Adam Deadmarsh hit the game-winner, off a beautiful feed from Ziggy. Thought the Avs fans might like to know.

Yes I heard that! As for a change of allegiance you would hardly do wrong by cherring for the Av's for the remainder of the post season. And I want LA to win because I hate the Wings and also because I think that they deserve it for their performance down the stretch.

That was an absolutely disgusting game on Sat. So many players took so many stupid penalities and, apparently, Cechmanek left the goal entirely and let Sabre players set up house--a Laz-E-Boy here, a potted plant there, some beer in the cooler...
People who make that amount of money in one year should be damn well better worth it. Knowing Bobby Clarke's management style (and the hot tempers of Philly fans), I'm sure Cechmanek is back on the first plane to the Czech Republic.
I guess I'll have to start rooting for the Avs here on out...
