it is not what i think, it is what i do that makes a difference
Posted Dec 30, 1999
I've an long time since i have felt productive for a period of time. It has caused me no end of trouble. Today, i was helped in deciding some matters and the course i should pursue. I think i will go back to work at a former job that has asked me to return. Perhaps i could start with 3 days a week, and see if that becomes too much of a strain on my body. The other days will be spent recovering. Bob has a rather large exorcise thingy that is gym quality. I need to retrain my mussels that have suffered attrition from lack of use. I think getting out and about again will help regain my spirit that i lost since the tendonitius and related problems. There are some things i need to do after i get moving again.
Fix Romana.
She has been off the road since October. I need to replace the fuse box, rewire the tail lights, and replace the plugs and wires. I need to coat the pans with a rust preventitive and put in some used rubber mats from Bug and Bunny, so i don't scratch the coating untill i can install the carpet. I need to check the tires for wear for inspection.
Fix my bike.
When i ran off to college, someone left it outside for a month so everything rusted together. I need to rebuild the gears, replace the tires, and rechain the thing. I may have to replace the cables, and inspect the brakes. Frame up rebuild, probably.
Fix the Metro.
The right front caliper needs to be replaces. I also need to change the trans fluid. These things need to be done this week or early next week before i have to resurface the rotor.
Star Wars.
I need to go ahead and use my brother's new digicam to take pics of my star wars collection so i can post an ad on an auction site. It has been a long time since i have had the whole collection out. It will take at least two days to unpack, make an inventory (something i should have done long ago), photograph, and repack all the things. I have fond memories of collecting, and it is time to relenquish them to another owner. I need to get some web space to hold the images, and i will link them to my h2g2 page to show what i used to do.
Bob's house.
I have a list of things i need to do over there. The window and extra room are done. I need to organise the garage and library next. In my spare time, i have a little more work on the speakers untill they are finished. They will be a three way home speaker set for the downstairs tv and stereo. I still need to make the frames for the 10" set, seal the 6" set off, port both boxes, and make new covers.
Miami.
As much as i like driving, it will make most sense if i fly. I will miss having a car there, as there are a couple of places i wanted to see. I need to start saving up the money if i am to make it. If i get the SW toys sold off, that may help, but i want to pay of the credit card first.
Friends.
I really need to see my friends more. Most of them live pretty far away, which is a problem. Miami will help that.
Future employment prospect.
As with any job, you have to build up. I am thinking i will start with an A+ certification. If i can get that, and a job where that is usefull, then i can learn to do other things, get other certifications, then better jobs. Even saying all that, i still like working RenFest, and managing small shops. There is a coffee and art shop in Viena i'd like to work at. Very comfortable place.
Models. Right now, i just don't have room. I have several conversions, and one car i am going to have to do from scratch. When i sell off the SW toys, i will gain some needed territory. Hopefully, i will be able to move soon. I need to get away from these current roommates.
That's about it, for now. More upon development.

I'm off to the doctor this morning. Fun fun. I now own the wide screen video of the Matrix. Yippie! It's a sad life.

I went and got sick. Blah. Blah blah blah. I hate coughing and sneezing and not breathing right.

I'm losing friends left and right. People moving away, or losing closeness. I think i am getting a soar throat. I will probably spend some time next week returning one of the jigsaws i was given. I miss Romana, who has been of the road for 2.5 months.
On the lighter side, i still can't sleep, lose feeling in my arms, and depressed.
I need a better view.

Traffic accidents. Its bad enough that people have no ability to drive in a group, but when you add ice and snow, geez. I think i will stay home.
