Just popped in for a minute ... Ooh! dark bread & cheese - you'll like that - great stuff.
*restrains himself from sampling it. Instead, knowing how awful hospital food can be, Kes eats the pink plastic jelly from the yellow plastic container, (just to save Abi the struggle) then wishes he hadn't.*
Please, please get well soon - we miss you ... and I can't cope with more of that jelly smiley - winkeye

Abi

Thank you soooo much for all your grapes and good wishes. I am getting better slowly and am now off the drip and intravenous (sp?) drugs.

No cute doctors I am afraid but the bloke from the IT department who has loaned me this lovely laptop is a bit of a honey! smiley - smiley

Thanks again - I am missing you all terribly.

Hope to be back soon

Abi

I was sorry to hear that you've been ill, Abi, and it's a relief to know that you're on the mend. I hope they're letting you watch the racing on TV while you're in there, and that you're up and about again in time for the Christmas Social! smiley - smiley

Take it easy Abi, relax and rest and read up on duck farming. I very jealous, have been telling people for years I want to be a duck farmer rather than IT. If'n you ever need a duck farmer's assistant, consider me volunteered smiley - smiley

Abi

I am cool - leg still looks like a barrage balloon, body is complaining about 5000mg of medicine it is being exposed to daily but I am now successfully keeping my temperature at a steady 37 degrees and more importantly keeping fluids down. Shame as I was becoming quite attached to my drip (literally) and it doesn't feel right walking around without it.

So I am home for the next week - trying to keep my foot in the air and getting really bored. Still Doctor's orders are doctor's orders.

And I am sorry to say it was BUPA - but after years of paying into the scheme and being in perfect health it is kind of nice to get a return on the premiums. And any way there wasn't an NHS bed available for me.
