Of course he has to...
...that could be a new feature of the site: the editor's challenge. See what researchers have written on before, & then challenge them to do more on the subject...

As far as I know, these entries have not been written. I love reading all about historical women and one of my favourites is in there. A true giantess and warrior who did more to shape the history of her husband's country than any other woman.

Interesting list of Queen Consorts and others there Crusader. I believe I have the materials here to do most of those. Like the Elizabeth and Margaret of York one's the cousins marrying back up the line of sucession. Nice mix of Scots and English with a Iberian combo thrown in for good measure.
Challenge accepted.

BTW I take it Matilda referres to the consort of Henry V Holy Roman Emperor and Geoffrey Plantagenat.
Not one of the other 5 Matilda's that graced the Norman scene.

The Matilda I'm talking about is the lady who had to give up the throne for her kinsman Stephen after a minor war.
Margaret of York was the sister of Edward IV and Richard III and the aunt of Princes in the tower.
Elizabeth of York is the Cousin of the Princes and Mother of Henry VIII
Just to clarify

So that is the right Matilda then. And she meant that I have a namesake in the list of sucessions.
The others I knew and didn't seek that much clarification.

Other interesting entries could be on Victoria's children and their marriages.
Mary of Teck
And one that should be good is Tara and the kings of Ireland

There was a queen with my name in Spain, I think... ...I also think she went mad...
DD, can you write me an entry with a list of all the kings & queens of England?

J'au-æmne Posted Jul 14, 2000

Joanna was Queen of Spain and Portugal and the Daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella and Sister of Catherine of Aragon - Henry VIII's first wife

Hang on, hang on. I have actually done the research on the descendants of Victoria and how every major crowned head in Europe is now related via her. So that is no porblem.
I'll deal with the first batch. I don't know you people. Yes Joanna was known as the Mad.
Kings of Tara are possible for future reference I'll have to do a little more digging for them I think, I don't have a lot on them here.
Now if you don't mind no more additions to this list until this lot is done.

I happened to have you page, mine and Joanna's all on constant refresh as that seemed to be where most of my conversations were being generated. I got there when it was two minutes old, it's a good article.
