S.T. You have my condolences! You want to work but THEY think you might be
a liability!
I am almost in the same boat. I have a fresh HGV licence-all classes- and I
Want to drive on the continent, but the insurance companies say they cant insure
me.Guvernment thinks I'm fit,given me a licence!but! I'm stuck driving with
agency,2/3 days a week. At least I can do something,And moaning is the first
thing that comes to mind!
Best Wishes S.T. and good Luck

Just an update, still no further forward yet in any re-training. Seems the rules regarding permitted work are a nightmare. Now have another 3 people from various departments visiting next week to try and make sense of some of this.
Apparently I need to be registered with a welfare to work officer , plus either a CPN or social worker, well, I have a cpn who I see every week so that one's covered.
To complicate matters even further none of the Doctor's/speciallists from the DWP are prepared to state categorically I am fit for full time work or even part time and won't be reviewing this for another 2 years yet. Hence we need to look at this 'permitted work' regime that has to form part of medical rehabilitation.
My , not surprisingly.
