Anagramania!

I was merely having a bit of fun with the statement you made on your page that I'd try to claim it was all your fault (perhaps you are already aware of this and are still playing along). I was actually hoping you'd read that, just so I could get your reaction to it ('treacherous beast' made me laugh out loud, btw smiley - smiley).

Besides, you can't say you haven't had your fair share of amusement from all this weevil material, can you? I know I've had many a laugh. smiley - smiley

No need to fear for my sanity I rarely speak of weevils outside of H2G2 (not yet, anyway). smiley - smiley

I must confess to not having thoroughly studied this forum - do I take it there is weevil-related anagramania? interesting smiley - smiley

Did you not see the anagram I put on my home page?

'Grand Weevil-Meister' = 'Lead wee vermin grist' smiley - smiley

as I mentioned earlier here, I realise that weevils are not vermin, but it's still funny. Well, at least I think it's funny. smiley - smiley

Nick - I'm just dropping in from an Internet cafe in Leeds, West Yorkshire, to apologise for implicitly calling you a Yank. smiley - winkeye Also, I just wanted to let you know that "Sordid Bar Vet" (David Roberts) and "I Gag Slave" (Gil Savage) both loved their anagrammed Christmas cards. smiley - smiley I'm confident that "Oil Santa, Punk" (Paul Atkinson) and "Win Karma" (Mark Wain) will also respond positively tomorrow!
Once again, a happy Xmas and a merry new millennium to you and all your lovely little weevils! smiley - fish

The weevils appear to like the 'Win Karma' anagram, particularly. smiley - smiley

And with those particular letters, I suppose it could have been an awful lot worse.

Tee hee! You're not, by any chance, thinking of the anagram that would imply my friend Mark being overly friendly to a male sheep, are you? smiley - winkeye

No, of course not, I have absolutely no idea to what you could possibly be referring smiley - winkeye.

I'm glad your friends appreciated the anagramatical Christasm frivolity. I assume they all think you are quite insane?

I've been trying like the dickens to fathom (in my head) an anagram from 'Mark Wain' involving a male sheep, but all I can get it 'W**k Mair', and 'mare' isn't even spelled correctly. Am I missing something?

Oh, wait a minute. I just figured the role of 'I' in that one. Ha ha. Good one. smiley - smiley

Most of my friends have, probably rightly, regarded me as barking bonkers for a long time, so the anagrams didn't come as too great a shock. smiley - winkeye I did have a minor crisis when someone I hadn't been expecting to see at Christmas suddenly turned up in Bradford when I was temporarily deprived of computer access. For the sake of consistency, I had to work out an anagram for Yves Dumont using nothing more sophisticated than a pencil and paper. But I managed it, and he was really impressed with "Stun My Dove"! smiley - smiley

Well done. I thought I'd try my own head at that one and I came up with 'Undo my vest'. smiley - smiley Probably not as generally acceptable as 'Stun my dove'. smiley - smiley
