My, aren't the little darlings affectionate today smiley - smiley - what has come over them?

Haven't you heard about the poor amiable Turkish fellow who became world famous without really even being aware of it because a total stranger decided to steal his web page and made a joke out of it?

I'll explain. Better yet, I'll give you links to go to, but you have to visit them in order...

Wonderful smiley - smiley - no, never heard of that before. What a funny story.

And I thought the weeevils were just getting all emotional. Shame.

Well, now that you mention it, the weevils are quite frisky today, despite the weather. The Jamaican Cooking Weevils are preparing dinner tonight and I think the others are rather excited about it. Plus the Yucatan Planning and Organising Weevils are having a party this weekend and there's going to be plaenty of biscuits and corn syrup, so I can well understand why they're so excited. Why, they're practically bouncing off the walls with ecstatic anticipation. smiley - smiley

Sure. All are welcome at the weevil jamboree. smiley - smiley It's BYOB for humans, though (bring your own bisuits).

Can I just bring my own booze? - I think solid food might interrupt my drinking pattern smiley - smiley

Jesus, that was pretty funny, but I don't know if it should be. smiley - smiley

smiley - smiley Yes you can laugh - biscuits are fine.

how about jaffa Cakes - I think they are legally biscuits rather than cakes?

Frisky weevils

Post 10

I don't know what jaffa cakes are. Rice cakes are good. Weevils like rice cakes, too. smiley - smiley

Jaffa Cakes - absolutely delish chocolate biscuits which are actually sort of squishy spngey base with chocolate top and a squelchy oragney type jelly bit inside - proper kids bikkies with loads of sugar in them... inspire devotion amongst some of their fans

Absolutely nothing to do with rice cakes - which I find far too dull to even think about - but if the weevils like them, well I guess someone has to.

Cakes only a weevil cold love. smiley - smiley

Perhaps I'll have a look round to see if these jaffa cakes have some sort of web site. Then I can find a picture to see if I've seen these things before or not.

Cold love? is that a Canadian variation?

Touche. smiley - smiley Actually, even though Canada is comprised of a grat deal of northern territory, if you were to examine a population density map of Canada, you'd find us all packed along the US border where the temperature is quite nice. I mean, here in BC, it barely snows at all, and when it does, it usually melts in a day or two.

I went to the jaffa cakes web site to find a picture, but all they have are these stupid orange fuzzy things all over the place. I found one tiny little picture of a jaffa cake but it was so small it could have been anything.

yes, I have just checked that out and there isn't much factual info about the little beauties is there? You shall have to ponder the mystery of the jaffa cake as much as the enigma of crumpets smiley - smiley

And any fool knows that canada is a snow-strewn wasteland populated solely by moose and mounties

I'm amazed they can survive the constantly below zero temperatures - your flat must be kept at comparatively tropical temperatures smiley - smiley

Although my Alaskan Ice Weevils positively thrive in the absolute zero climate found up north, most of my weevils can easily tolerate temperatures far below that which we humans can tolerate, even extremes such as we get here in even the southern most regions of Canada. Some of the more tropical weevils have a bit of a problem with it, but they live near my heating ducts anyway, so they're okay. Which is good, because I'd hate to see what would happen to them in the harsh, violently cold extremes of temperature that plague all parts of Canada throughout most of the year.

Well, your weevil friends are obviously well looked after.

As for that cake/biscuit debate, I think they should let the weevils decide. smiley - smiley I'm pretty certain now that I've never tried a jaffa cake before.
