Very funny. I especially liked 'Gone with the Weevil' and 'The Weevil has landed'. Easy does it, though. You don't want to overdose on weevil exposure.

OK then, boyo - pick a new subject...

Actually, it was a polite way of saying, "Hey, you're using up all my valuable weevil material at an alarming rate." I mean, I could have stretched that one post of yours into three days worth of posts.

Was that a polite way of saying, "Please change the subject, I don't want to talk about weevils anymore."?

I want to hear more DM opinions on your activities on H2G2. It's nice to have an indirect link to a very straight person, where the silly comments tend to bounce off and hit you back with twice the humour level. No offense meant, of course.

Well, young DM has just returned from work - so I oughtn't really talk about her too much... but she does think it is all a waste of time. I think she just misses the nonsense conversations we have/had - and the use of the telephone... My virtual social life unfortunately interferes with her real one. The trials of sharing a phone line with the internet.

And I think a sensible break from weevils is perhaps a good idea - is this where we can think of nothing else to talk about? ?

Oh, gosh, no. I'm open to all sorts of suggestions. Like your marzipan gin article for instance. How close to done are you at this point?

It'll do for done for now - any further alterations can be made as and when.

I have a little list of minor additions but I have no idea when I;ll get round to it - firstly it involves finding all the original info on the nonsense we spouted...

Now that I think about it, you should probably work the angle-iron into it but leave out the weevils.

I would rather like to shake my reputation as weevil-botherer. I take back anything derogatory that I perhaps have said in the past and take this opportunity to say how much I admire the little darlings etc. etc.

I was not implying that you would harm a single hair on a weevil's little head. I was more implying that you had stepped on it by accident. It was a joke. Really. I don't think that a little ginger penguin has enough weight and force to crush some of the more resilient weevils that may find themselves lounging about its feet.

OK - but even accidental weevil decimation is pretty bad - and even a slight little penguin can wear enormous combat boots

OK, even accidentally stepping on a careless weevil is a bad thing. We won't speak of such things again.

I'm STILL waiting for The Shawshank Redemption. It's been ages since they first announced a release sometime last year. They just keep delaying it and delaying it, and my VHS (ick) copy, which already looks like hell because it's VHS, is beginning to wear out.

I was thinking of posting my DVD list and home theatre components here to see if anyone else is into home theatre, but I'm undecided on the notion.

Home theatre - I am so jealous. if you post your DVD list this means we can all go and visit it and laugh at your questionable taste in films I'd be interested though - get some insight into the real Mr O'Teen through the films he watches...
