Bloukrans Bungee Jump, South Africa
Bloukrans Bungee jump is the highest bungee jump in the world. It is 216m high (650 ft)and the jump is off the middle of Bloukrans Bridge on the Garden Route in South Africa. Oh, and it costs 500 rand - around 50 quid. It is possibly the coolest thing a human being can do. Total adrenalin rush !!! I should know, I flung myself off the bridge three weeks ago and haven't stopped smiling since. Face your fears and go for it ! My mother who gets vertigo when climbing a flight of stairs did it and she loved it. The bungee guys are totally professional, absolutely gorgeous and completely put you at ease. You just stand on the edge looking out over the mountains, "5-4-3-2-1-Bungee" and you jump out as far as you can. It's like flying, only more extreme. Your brain totally scrambles as it tries to catch up with what your body is experiencing. There is no jerk as you take the first rebound. It takes you as high as the Vic Falls bungee. you experience weightlessness as your body is pulled upwards, upside down at speed, and then you're falling agin for the next rebound. The next rebound brings you up as high as the Gouritz River Bungee. Three flights for the price of one !!! And then you are just hanging there, waiting to be winched up. It is so peaceful and you can feel the wind blowing through the valley. Everyone who goes to South Africa has to do this jump. It will totally change the way you view your life !Latest Messages
