Sounds like my older sister..just chomping at the bit to see me improve myself..really into "pulling one's self up by the bootstraps"from what I can tell. I think that I am something of a disappointment to her.But we must deal with these things as best we can,I suppose.

dad was working class - hated any above that, my granddad(mam's dad) was a wages manager for years, therefore middle class, with working class roots(and kept to them)
me = any class I wantbut sister is a school teacher, so middle class, but I'm 9 yrs older, so I'm still top dog at the end of the dayshe learns from me, without knowing

when she had her first post, it was kids who were ready for leaving school and they knew there were no jobs, so they couldn't be bothered about learning, they told her, that they had got shut of the last 13 tempsher first week, she came home in tears. So big bro told her how to go about it and play them at their own game(I know the tactics)when she came to leave, after the original teacher came back, she had won them over - a good grounding I would say(but no recognition was given for aiding her, but none was asked either )it's ME!

I am sure that you are happy with the way things turned out..she is doing well now??

it's a laugh really MS, she started out wanting to teach infants/juniors but they are the only age she's never doneshe is now a college tutor - helping "thicko's" as such, who never learnt at school(as above)

good job I'm a genius eh!

Indeed...though I am sure she takes her share of painkillers on occasion
