Another weekend wasted. I have got to quit my impulse buying habit as I went to Cheltenham to buy some buttons and ended up spending £300. Bloody expensive buttons I can tell you!
Still, some good news as I was one of the 42 people to win a prize from this site - A signed copy of the guide. Its years since I read it so I can't wait for the post!

Oh, so you won one of 'em also? We're working on a (very) informal tally over here, if you're interested:

What I mean by informal is that it's been 3 days, and now we're up to 4 accounted for, although I've heard rumors of a fifth.

how do i get to this page as i only seem to be able to get as far as the douglas adams bit before i get told i don't have authority?

Spartus Posted May 20, 1999
Don't have authority? No clue. Start at http://www.douglasadams.com and see if you can find your way from there.
Just as a side note, in case I do have a clue and just don't know it yet, what exactly is telling you you don't have authority and where?

This thread is now linking from the front page, but the thread is really old. I know that they made the front link to me a while back, into a totally unused thread. This is a bit potty. Better no links than daft ones. Sorry but.

I quite agree. It wasn't the most scintillating conversation to start with and I doubt it will be of much interest to anyone!

Ah. It appears the "Busiest Forum Fairies" have been at it again! Although it seems daft, it does tend to help us "front page surfers" find reserchers we havn't read yet. It puts you on site, and if one has time, you can explore their pages and get a view of their world. Sure beats entering random names in search, hoping that researcher exists. And, by the way, congrats on winning "The Book". You're one of the envied few

Not sure what you will think of me after you have read "sex and chocolate" and "my poem" but nice to meet you anyway! Off to look at your pages now!

I'm afraid mine aren't much to look at. Lack of skill and imagination! Must say, I found yours quite interesting. And they say accountants are stuffy

Hmm, I got trapped again with the Busiest Forum... :-
Oh, look Ginger is here, fancy meeting you again. I am sure you and I have no life apart from h2g2. Anyway, sex and chocolate sounds interesting, maybe you might want to read my Tim Tams user page.

I liked the tim tams! BTW I do have a life at weekends which is why I rarely post between 10pm Friday and 10pm Sunday!

I am glad you liked them, there is just something about them. A friend bought me a packet as a present when I went back to my oldies for the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend. I only got one, and everyone else them on me.
I too have a life on the weekend, and also the fact I haven't set the cookie up on my home computer, that I won't be able to post on the weekends

So the reason we both think the other is always on here is that we are always here at the same time because we don't post at weekends! I must find something to do during the week!

I have something to do during the week, it's called work. However being a computer programmer, which is a very boring job, you can always look like you are doing work when you're not.
