Job Interview
Posted Aug 23, 2011
I finally got my first job interview after 8 years or so. Really nervous as not only do I have to do an interview, I also have to do a presentation on organising an art event.
I graduated a year ago from University and have been a potter ever since, not giving up on pottery I just want to be able to provide for my family and pay off all my debts.
At the moment I will take anything, but if I have to do anything I would prefer this job.

bored
Posted Jul 12, 2010
The baby is happily watching Dora the Explorer and doesn't want me to interfere with his TV watching.
I'm bored and just watch to complain about how slow setting up a business seems to be. I would have done that on facebook in the past but I feel watched now as people I know actually know I am setting up a business and I don't want them to see me moaning when one of them is giving me a reference.
Anyways... asides missing throwing so very badly things are going okay. I finished my degree, I took parts of my exhibition up to London and got a little interest in my pots.
Got one or two places I am selling over the year though we are hoping to open up in retail unit, teaching and making

Starting up a business
Posted Mar 6, 2010
As I finish my course in a little over 3 months I have been looking at starting my own business as a potter, I have also looked into starting an art gallery.
There is so much I don't understand, I am doing a module of business studies but rather than help me, which is considered "cheating" I have to do the research myself and it is really starting to get to me, I just can't take in enough information.
then there are the dreaded interviews to acquire funding through grants, loans and selling all the work I have built up over the years.
Well back to the research.
