To Pete
Posted Aug 7, 2004
Pete Peter Petros Peat
I lay this poem at your feet
At first I didn’t want to rhyme
But now I think it is a crime
You are a friend to me you see
And do not care when I miss a beat
Oh Pete this wast be to a serious one
I think something went very wrong
For you tuition I would pay
If I could rhyme to you this day
I did go to a Yorky meet
That was the day I met Pete
You spoke to me when I was blue
Is that just a thing you do?
Pete you do not boast
So to you we raise our toast
“To Pete and that thing you do
we your friends congratulate you”

Flamestrike
Posted Aug 7, 2004
Flamestrike for you this poem I write
I love you Flamestrike I say this to give you a fight
I’m sorry I said it though, I know
Perhaps at me this poem you’ll throw
Flamestrike I may be green
Yet to me your words are not mean
This is from poet to poet
And all the others that may not know it
For you I write not one but two
Perhaps you’ll write me when I’m through
This commission you asked of me
To help me practice my poetry
Flamestrike thou hast been kind
And I hope you do not mind
If I say you are a friend to Kham
Whose alter ego Joseph, I am
Flamestrike I met you that day
I tried to keep you all at away
I wasn’t feeling at all myself
Yet I wast in best of health
Last of all Flamestrike my friend
Please my words do not bend
You give me confidence this day
And to you many smile and say hurray

I sit here talking to you
Posted Aug 6, 2004
I sit here talking to you
My hands are in pain
Yet I do not leave
You tell me there is no escape
And I laugh light heartedly
I sit here talking to you
I look at this empty ring box
Do you wish it were full
And waiting for the time,
That you should claim it as your own
I sit here talking to you
Wondering of what is to come
You make me laugh again
Then disappear from my sight
This gives me a little fright
I sit here talking to you
My hands still in pain
But yet I don’t complain
Thinking of how they got this way
Baking and playing many a game
I sit here talking to you
But you slowly disappear
Into the night, into darkness
I hope I can reach you
Please don’t venture too far
I sit here talking to you
Thinking what type of mother
You will grow up to be
It doesn’t really matter
But I see a baby on your knee
I sit here talking to you
I tell you I am writing,
Another poem about
You tell me “Nooooo!”
I think I might agree
I sit here talking to you
And I am relaxed are you?

I sit here looking at your picture
Its sits on my desk looking back
It smiles happy and content
You have a baby on your lap
Though it looks more like a doll
You sit there and look beautiful
I sit here looking at that picture
Thinking what you mean to me
And what I mean to you back
You look comfortable there
Not like the one under the tree
You sit there and look beautiful
You look motherly with a baby
Holding him and he is happy
Some might say your hair is messy
Or that your clothes seem a bit scraggy
But there is a beauty there beyond words
You sit there and look beautiful to me
I can link you o the picture as its on my website... but only if you ask nicely

Oh why do I write these words
Posted Aug 6, 2004
Oh why do I write these words?
All I do is seem to offend
and annoy everyone I hold dear
I know I upset you last night
And I know I was the one that started the fight
It was the words again…
Why can’t I hold them in
Oh why do I try and be a poet?
I’m not that good and I know it
I do it just so then I can talk to you
Poetry seems to be your native language,
Though it isn’t mine
And here I struggle
Writing a poem with no rhyme
I know I offended you
I really just want to say
Sorry in my own little way
Ok well now it doesn't rhyme as such I tried to let it flow... though I'm not sure it is even a poem... or for that fact has any of the humour I naturally try and put in
