Because I posted my poems here H2g2 owns that form of the poem by some clause in the small print
so I ahve to make changes to make them mine...
I'm going to send my poems via emails to them that want
you will have to subscribe to a mailing list that I will set up

Hello there!
Now, I'm not a lawyer, but ...
>>Because I posted my poems here H2G2 owns that form of the poem by some clause in the small print<<
Not quite - the BBC does become entitled to use anything you post here without necessarily seeking your permission (though I imagine they would, because it would be very rude not to). That's not the same thing as them 'owning' your poems, whether in the form you posted or any other. The clause is there more to protect *them* from being sued by disgruntled researchers than it is to claim sole right to your stuff.
If you wrote an entry and especially if it got into the edited guide, then you would have to ask permission in order to publish it somewhere else. They might grant permission and they might not.
Now, technically, that probably does apply to *anything* you post here - but the idea, that if you got a poem into a magazine, the BBC would then sue you, is mind-bogglingly unlikely, especially if you're just posting them in the way you are (if the BBC were to publish them in one of their print magazines or something, then maybe, but not just submitted like this). It's even more unlikely that a court would see it that way (have you signed anything?) The author always retains some rights, no matter what the small-print says.
As I say, I'm not a lawyer - but if I were you, I'd take a more relaxed attitude to this
(Just hate to see anyone think about signing out of here because of something 'fiddly' like this)

I'm alright, Kham.
I've just been horribly un-lampie-ish of late.
I've done a few things that a lampost like myself should shudder at the thought of.
*sigh*
But, I recieved a lot of ice cream for my troubles.
Bits of news:
-My brother's getting married on Sept 1st!
-I'm thinking of switching my major...AGIAN!
-I'm sleepy.
Tell me about you now!

'I've done a few things that a lampost like myself should shudder at the thought of.' (Like ending that sentence with a preposition!)
Key: Complain about this post
