Many attempts at world domination have failed because the invaders have stopped too long for smiley - tea...

If you are invading Belgium, can you bring me back some Brussels sprouts please.

The postcard i have from you is the one you sent from summer camp, collage with owl "they don't really exist" and lacy bits.

smiley - ermFor some reason, the saying here goes 'third time ice cream' (usage is slightly different too). Seriously. *shrug*

Terri, I remember that postcard now... that was fun to make. I probably still have some of these Camp postcards lying about. They're good for collages because I don't really care about them. smiley - biggrin Hm, maybe I'll send some of them to my friends in Camp this summer? smiley - laugh
I guess I'll see if I'm up for another collage thingy when I get your postcard. smiley - smiley Or you'll get a standard one.

And since we're on page four already, I guess I might as well post the address again:
P.O. Box two-four-one-six-eight, Jerusalem, Israel.

(Oh, and in case you were wondering: (2+4)*(-1)+(6*8)=42)

now I am wondering; why the 42-ism? smiley - erm

Got one as well though. very proud of mine. Found it all by myself: -1* sqrt(9)+ 0*1+ 9*5 = 42
wonderfull, isn't it. Looks very complex (and yes, I do know there is easier ones for mine as well...)
Anyway, more smiley - tea (not planing on dominating the whole world anyway, too much trouble smiley - winkeye )
And ice-cream is your friend. Especialy banana (and chocolate of course, but that goes without saying). Got any more ice-cream sayings? smiley - cool

O well, not that important smiley - biggrin If you want you can have one of my personal sayings. Very unique, and if I become famous at some point(not planning on it) might be worth a lot of money...

-chocolate ice-cream; if not the answer to all of lives problems, at least a very good reason for not needing one.

Ice cream sayings? Are those, like, some kind of sundae? New to me.

...anyhoo, I went for a sorta boring postcard, at first glance. It's the Seattle skyline. But when you realize that it's not raining in the picture, you see just how rare it really is.

Oh, and all the funny ones were more expensive. Deal with it.

IT'S NOT BORING!!! It wasn't raining! I remember the exact day that happened! ...you don't understand just how special that is. It's like running through a red light on Aurora Blvd, and getting stopped by the police. That rare. Practically impossible.

smiley - ermThat was what you called it!

Sounds sorta like snow here. We get a day or so once every couple of years and everyone goes nuts about it. smiley - biggrin (including myself)

I said at first glance!

Anyway, what's the elevation of Jerusalem? If it's high enough, snow isn't impossible. I had a professor who used to go skiing in Hawaii now and then.

We don't get much snow. We're at sea level mostly, so we get lot's of slush. And rain.

smiley - dohOh, sorry...

We're about 700-800m above sea level, I think, so no, it's not impossible, just rare. People still go nuts though. smiley - smiley

As far as i can tell, the entire population of Angouleme is nuts. I suspect the town is actually some kind of experimental study. The only slightly sane person i know here is RK, but since he lives in my attic, and is a fellow h2g2er who chose willingly to come here, maybe he is actually even more loopy than the rest; or maybe he is the one behind the experiment?

Anyway, once i get round to posting it (Post offices shut 'cos of International Workers Solidarity Day) mine has nice view of our mediaeval town on a rock with a UFO hovering above, highly appropriate.

smiley - biggrinWell, I said it before and I'll say it again: Jerusalem is the only city in the world with its very own mental syndrome. And before you say 'Stockholm' - I don't mean just a syndrome named after it, I mean one actually created by it:

http://savvytraveler.publicradio.org/show/features/2000/20000603/jerusalem.shtml

(Basically: religious nuts come here and go even more nuts. Get overwhelmed by holiness or whatnot and start walking around wrapped in bedsheets saying they're the Messiah, that sort of stuff. Gotta love it!)

So there. smiley - nahnah
