Hey folks,
If nobody minds, or thinks it's too late, would it be OK if I could try and turf a little worder in around midnight tonight or thereabouts???
Just me up to being last post as usual but I would still like a stab at a submission if possible, please?
Sorry for keeping ye's back too. Won't happen again (well on GW I suppose - ).
Cheers,
Jen

Announcement by Da management.
I will no longer be a member of Writer's Dock from today. This is a decision I have taken so that I can concentrate my time and resources on Free Poetry and my other sites Red Sofa and The Almost Woman after this place closes it's doors.
Weaver had expressed an interest in being a mod of the group on WD so I have asked him to take over running it. To this end I have just messaged Charlotte and Sonny.
If any of you want to come to Red Sofa and continue there with me instead you will be very welcome also if any of you disaagree with my choice of successor on WD then please take it up with the management there.
This is not for discussion here.
Penjen.....have ya dun it yet?
When Penjen has got her A number in can you all please make sure you have visited each story..yes I know..I have not done it yet...will try to do it tonight. Hope then we can have crits and scoring done by the weekend so we can fete the final winner on GW in style.

First of all, can I wish spiderbaby all the best with Free Poetry and express the hope that she will pop her head round the door of WD and especially our little part of it whenever she has the time.
On the subject of the group 'over there', do we make it a members group, or keep it informal? I vote for members, but I'll leave it up to you guys.

Erm... 'Opps' she splutters, creeping in... I know, I know... I'll do my wee piece once I've had a wee nosey round here. Felt like i was in a pub brawl last night, head hurts this morn...
ANYWAY, Spidey darling - We will all miss you terribly and really wish you would chaperone us Kids here into the next chapter of our worders. Thanks to you many of us have tried a form of writing most unknown to us and have grown from strength to strength. It really has beeen one of the most enjoyable parts of the whole GW experience for me.
It is also one of the few breathing finerys from this tapestry of talent and you have threaded the needle time and time again. We've dropped a few stitches and been in stitches, and I sincerely believe that some of the best GW writers are woven into the cuffs here. Do take care, missus, and I wiill visit you on 'Free Poetry' and the 'Red Sofa', without a doubt.
Here's to you Missus Spidey!
I'm up for Weaver heading us up at WD, (as long as he lets a little odd poetic slip-up slip-in from time-to-time ), gets Enig to raise his scoring ( joke) and lets us carry-on now and again (Lynda/Looby singing on the threads- ha! ).
I also like our wonderful select group and would be open to maybe a few more as members, or to approach those that were once part of this first before pulling back the covers for new folk to join.
Give me to 4pm for a wee worder and THIS time I will 'knit' a piece (ouch!). No Carlsberg, no food (sorry Fats) and no messing.

Spidey! I'm so sorry you won't be with us on WD, but I can see that two websites and a lot of poetry could take some managing.
I've loved the discipline of writing these short pieces and would never have thought to do it myself - thank you so much.
I'm glad someone else is willing to take it on - thanks Weaver.
I like the idea that anyone can join if they see what's going on and want to, though probably more than, say, fifteen at a time would be unmanageable. Wasn't there once a system where the first x to sign up would be the ones to take part?

Yes, there was. And that would seem like a good idea to carry on, just in case we get 50 people wanting a piece of our awesome challenge
It's a shame you won't be coming over, spidey, but thanks for starting this challenge and long may it continue. Perhaps if you find some free time you can pop in and play every now and then.

I am sorry to see you go to Spidey, this was your baby, and a big fat healthy one it has grown into too. I echo what Jen has said, this has been one of my most enjoyable things on GW as well, and I would like to pop over and join you on your sofa from time to time if you don't mind.
I have no objection to Weaver as manager, and will go with the majority on new members
Here's to ya girl

Let me know when you have all reviewed and I will say ready, steady, score!!
Think it is best if you keep it to a small group..Roy has not signed up on WD yet that I can see. There are about thirteen names I have already added to the group.it might go up to about twenty but might not have all taking part each time.
If there are twenty and you all want to do it you will have to keep it to one story each.
Please drop into the Red Sofa and say hello from time to time or spidey will get lonely, or alternativly the poets amongst you are very welcome to join Free Poetry.
Any way, you can all e mail me iffen you wanna keep in touch.
I'll try to read the stories later but I have my Ma staying the night so I might be feet up on sofa watching soaps!
