What's Tiramisu and why the long spoon?
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 23, 2005
The posting lasted about fifteen minutes - it was nothing B hadn't said before, but it was on LW's PS and it had *lots* of swearing in it. Proper swearing.
Next day, they're both on pre-mod.

Don't feed her! Kea! Nooooooooooooo ...
Oh, the humanity!
Yes, she is slipping right back into it, isn't she?

Crikey. B must have had a warnign from the Eds though
I've just cruised some the the What just happened threads backlog (I hadn't been reading).

Warnings - I would have thought so. There was the A-Page to vote on getting rid of Wolfie (created and then removed by the mods within about an hour). There was the mystery researcher 'The Voice in LW's Head' (lasted slightly longer, not definitely Master B, but a nod's as good as a wink).
Difference is, I don't think he's posted since (taking it on the chin). Whereas LW's every other posting is 'huge injustice, I'll be back' etc.

Just got your last two posts
I must admit that I was sitting here feeling like I was totally getting sucked in and what the f*ck was I doing, and then she posted something that seemed almost reasonable. So I did reply in kind...we'll see...

So was it not B who did the voice inside LW's head? He did post the account password didn't he, which I'm sure is against the rules.

(No, it was him - it was just the fact it was 'operated' by so many others )
I haven't seen an 'Indeed!' from her in a long while

Gee thanks
Actually I needed the distraction. I've managed to lock myself out of my laptop. The only way I know how to get in is with the OS discs but I can't find them anywhere. There's usually only two places they would be, they're not there nor anywhere else. I've had a major cleanup in the last few weeks and I'm really hoping that I haven't tidied them away amongst some magazines or books that won't resurface for a year or so (or bob forbid went to the recycling)
I'm on my new laptop , but was not going to mention it until I'd taken it round the block a few times. Friends coming tomorrow to stay (which is why I managed to f*ck up the old laptop doing something Really Stupid so they could have internet access without having access to my files). Oh well chaos rains, get the mop and bucket.
I should just go to bed and worry about it in the morning. I'm just not sure if I should turn the laptop off or not, but don't really want to leave it running all night. None of the hootoo mac users have come to my aid yet

Hmm, tricky I've no idea because turning off my laptop (by removing the battery if necessary) *is* my last ditch way of making it see sense.
You could try a quick question on 'Ask'? Someone who knows generally pops up quite quickly (Croz, usually).
New laptop, eh? Hang on ... hang on ... *extends mental tendrils to previous postings* ... no, I can feel the difference. Very smooth

They're both fine now, thanks. It was really bizarre considering the possibility of losing 6 months of work. I don't backup very often
Glad you like the liqueur

That's on the Post to a Converstaion page...is that what it always said or have they changed that recently? I'm so unobservant

I think that's always been there. I can't remember it not being anyway.
I'm glad you're not voting for us Basically, because I didn't want to ask you This campaigning stuff is all getting a bit weird at the moment.

Unfortunately I lost track early on. Also I coudn't figure out exactly what it all meant - is it a serious post despite the silliness?
The main reason I thought I wouldn't vote is because I don't want to give out my email address. Which is a bit silly really as I'm sure whoever the emails go to will be careful with them. Hmm, maybe I should vote afterall...

How is the campaigning weird?

My word, but it's late!
I've got an e-mail account purely for the purposes of hootoo - I registered it under the name 'Trin Tragula', kept the details pretty non-specific and, sure enough, when I send something from it, the name in the box is 'Trin Tragula'. I think a lot of people on here do that - I'm slightly losing track of my various e-mail accounts
So, if you don't want to vote with your 'your' e-mail - hotmail's easiest, yahoo is pretty accommodating too.

Sounds like quite alot of effort for something that's going to disappear shortly. Or does the prez actually do something? And what about the vice-prez?
It seems bloody late to me. I thought I must have been getting the time conversion wrong, but according to the widget on my new mac it's 5.20am in London Even I don't stay up that late, so I'm seriously impressed.

I think it's up to the victorious candidate to decide what he or she wants to do. And how seriously to take it. Which is why campaigning is a bit weird - because it's all a bit of a laugh, but part of you can't help taking part of it just a bit seriously. Even though you know it's a bit daft. That and the fact that there seem to be a few people, even at this early stage, who are getting hacked off with it.
Nearly 5.30 now I'm almost past the 'you really should go to sleep stage' and I'm entering the 'ah, a little more won't hurt' stage instead.
Della has hit fifth gear, by the way. Really *bad*
