Non-descript header to ward off all suspicion

I like your thinking.
You'd have to be pretty stupid to fall for it, though. With or without the rosy tints.
That's his mistake. In a one to one private convo he could probably swing it. After all, that person may have no knowledge of what he is fibbing about so accepts him on face value.
Publicly, it's another story. You either tell the truth or watch your lies get shot down in flames.
As a write this, the RAF's Fibber Display Team (The Lying Tigers) is overhead in their missing man formation.

I've been connecting to this h2g2 for nearly 2 years. And I've seen quite a number of others shot down in flames. They so easily forget that EVERY word typed here is visible to the entire community. And you don't even need to be a lurker to see stuff. A common system page, http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/info, reflects anything or anyone talking in the most recent 20 posts ... Site-wide.

You must have joined about the same time as the wife...
Given the public forum and the transparency of his lies (and later attempts to validate, lest we forget dear Meter Maid and Audrey) he really, really is non too bright.
As I said, I can understand why Doddy felt sympathy for him. It's a very sad case.

It really is apparent, in very short order, that h2g2 is an all-inclusive site. Without reguard to intelligence or character flaws. I've been known to befriend several folks along the way who proved to be of character that I'd not suffer in the real-world. In brief, life happens, eh?
(With always a measure of sympathy for those of lesser abilities and lives)

I know what you mean.
What's the weather like your side? We woke up to freezing fog here today! Only -2C, though, so not in the big league...

Our last few mornings were in the -12C range, but today is much milder. Here it's also -2, but our air-borne moisture has left about 3" of snow, with another couple to arrive before lunch. A nice light measure.

So far...not a flake here. These could be famous last words, by the way...

Oh, that's right, blame the Brits...
Seriously, have you ever seen the like. Some furious "keep throwing the BS and they will soon take it as read" going on from our hero.
I'm not sure about the terror threats, though. I seem to remember it violates the rules somehow. You will comply or I shall release my flying monkeys or whatever.
I honestly have an image of him stroking a fluffy white cat at this point as the world ponders his nest deadly assault.
Of course, the irony is that he will now have to have M send him after himself...that will get complicated. But, he's used to other personalities, eh?

So long as the cat isn't named "Mad Max". You know how they are always at the heart of any good conspiracy.

Actually, did you guys ever get "Dangermouse" over there?
They had this fat lunatic frog supervillain called Baron Greenback. He had a furry white lap-pet whose name escapes me...
I think that's closer to the mark, judging by Master Wayne's ill fitting Bat-belt.

What do you mean, over there? Aren't I meant to be sharing your chair and keyboard?
Sorry, that particular cartoon didn't make it here. Or if it did, it may have been during any of the times I was posted to tiny places that only had one air-bourne TV station. I even missed the TV version of the Hitch Hiker's Guide apparently, by being in the middle of Manitoba at the time.

Well... I suppose being in Manitoba is an acceptable excuse for missing anything...

Damn, we are on at the same time and bouncing insults between us. We're rumbled!
Quick, out the back. Damn, his KGB friends are watching the back door...we're finished.
Signing off for a while as either...
A) The Call Centre is closing
or
B) The wife has "requested" I watch telly with her. Or she'll cut something from me. I can only speculate.
Check your emails, btw...enjoy!

Been to the mails, and replied. Enjoy your night of skulking about. Or simply quiet time with milady and the true mistress and master of the manse.

Fortunately both were in bed by the time of the television programme in question.
It was a dramatisation of the life of Sweeney Todd and was rather graphic in bits.
I think it's given the missus ideas...

I heard about that program from another UK friend. Yeah, I know, I spend an inordinate amount of time with YOUR side of the big pond.
In any case, definitely not a program for the littles. And nearly impossible to explain, or answer the guaranteed questions that would arise.
Ten-shun!
IS5416 Posted Jan 4, 2006
Yes, I thought it odd that you seem to spend all of your time here while pretending to be Canadian.
Is this an attempt at distancing yourself from Celine Dion?
Because, I can really understand that...
You're right about the explanation problems. Some things are best avoided until absolutely necessary.
