Humans are ignorant.

So I was in school today and D said something to the effect of it's idiotic to believe in evolution. Of course that very sentence is stupid and ignorant, because you don't "believe in" evolution any more than you "believe in" gravity or "believe in" molecules or any other scientific principle. But that's not what really annoys me. What annoys me is that according to him Creationism is just the /obvious/ truth of the matter and anyone who thinks otherwise is being an idiot. I can't understand how he came to that conclusion, personally. I can understand how you could come to the /opposite/ conclusion, but not that one. Face it people. Evolution /has/ evidence to support it. Creationism does not. Creationism, in fact, seems to rely heavily on /not/ having evidence. Because if any real evidence is ever submitted it's always immediately denounced as false. Either because it supports some other religion and not the one denouncing it, or because it doesn't support /any/ religions that currently exist and so it /must/ be fabricated in some way or another for the sheer sake of undermining those that exist. Every Christian church I know about, for example, claims that Jesus will one day return. But if anyone actually claimed to /be/ the returned Christ, they would /all/ scorn and humiliate him.

Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

They "know" it's true because that's what they've been taught from birth. Because that's what they want to hear, even if it's not what they need to hear.

Something I find especially annoying is when people say "you have to believe in something". I hear that, and I sit there, and I'm like, "Why?" Is there some reason I "have" to? Is it necessary to my physical survival? Will I suddenly drop dead if I don't? Evidently I'm supposed to. Strange that I haven't yet.

Listen, if you "have" to believe in something, start with believing in yourself.

Check it!

My Space is new and improved! It's true, I don't know how to use GuideML yet, and I'm probably not going to learn anytime soon (no time), but I still think this is much better than what I had before.

Me's a Goth!

I didn't realize it until just a few days ago, but I'm a Goth. And I have been for years, even though I didn't know it. If you're really very nice to me I might even tell you why, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Somewhat surprisingly, it was an article on h2g2 that showed me I was. This one: A473924

I'm 80's Darkwave. Though I'm not very familiar with the music. I'd like to be, but being poor I can't buy it. And I've tried having my friends send me some over the internet, but my computer crashes for no apparent reason when that happens, and I wind up not getting the song. So I'll just have to wait until I have money I guess.

Actually, my real preference overall is Movie Soundtracks. That may not sound very "Gothy", but so what? It could be (and probably is) that my brother has dozens of them that he copied onto the computer, so I can actually listen to those. But I have to say that I like almost every song of every genre I ever hear. Except Rap. Can't stand Rap at all. smiley - ill There's only one good Rap song in the universe: Star Wars Gangsta Rap. All the rest is terrible, mindless, loud drivel.

There are a few things I want to point out about myself in this regard.

1. To me, black is a color. My favorite color in the whole world, but still a color. Not a "statement".

2. I don't wear make-up. Yes, that's no big deal, I just wanted to point it out. I don't like make-up.

3. I prefer gold over silver in all cases and respects. This may be unusual or it may not be, I don't know and I don't care. Just telling you.

That's it. I didn't really know what I was going to write on here, I just wanted to write something about it and let people know. So now I'm done. You may resume your pathetic lives.

Uses of this thing#3..........

**FYI: This is the first thing I put in here. But since the Journal system is set up all screwy and doesn't put these top to bottom like it should, , I have to constantly Copy and Paste this where it's supposed to be. As a result the date is wrong.**

All right, I don't have much use for journals so from now on this is going to be my venting place! Those of you who do not want to read long paragraphs full of frustration and self-pity that are only there so I won't resort to physical violence and attack someone STOP NOW! As for the rest...
