Working at Wimbledon today!

I'm working at Wimbledon Tennis today! The BBC run a stand to talk about their interactive service, and I've been rota-ed to go down there and talk to people about what we at the Beeb do.

If you're down there come by and say hi!

Apparently I'm going to be wearing a fetching BBC T shirt. smiley - winkeye

The Mighty Boosh!

I don't know if anyone else here can get BBC3 - they've just started a new comedy series called The Mighty Boosh, and it's great!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/tv/mightyboosh/

It's very very trippy, a bit, just a tiny bit Pythoneque, but with a really current swing to it - very different!

Two guys work in a weird zoo, last night the grim reaper came to take the gorilla who was old, and accidentally took one of the guys who was dressed in a gorilla suit - mistaken identify - and the grim reaper drove him to monkey hell, but his friend came and rescused him (by going into limbo once he'd crawled through the mirror that was protected by the duster man called Susan) giving the king monkey hell ape some hair conditioning cream that had been given to him by the mystic in the fortune telling box at the zoo.

Got it? smiley - silly Very bizarre, but I think brilliant! smiley - ok

Wonderful Get Writing Tarot Tool

Now here's one gizmo the h2g2 community haven't added to the feature request list. I thought they'd asked for everything, and I was wrong!

Get Writing have launched an inspirational 'story writing tarot tool' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/getwriting/storytarot - click on the cards to gain cosmic inspiration for a story line.

I love it, what a fantastic idea!

Cool! smiley - cool

http://www.moxon.net - Travel Writer

Okay, so does anyone understand how Google rate the websites that they link to? Mark Moxon U13 has a travel website at http://www.moxon.net/.

If you put in Travel Writer he comes up as number five listing in the whole of Google.

If you put in "Travel Writer" he comes up as the number one listing!

Now I'm bias, I think his websites are great, but neither of us can understand how he's managed to get quite so high in the listings. smiley - doh

Does anyone know how Google categorises these? I thought that they did it based on links from other sites, but this is perhaps not the whole story? Mark's site is linked to from quite a few places, but he can't be the most linked to travel writer in the world!?

Lovely, but a bit surprising! (I wonder how long it will be before Google twig?)
