hi peta
-
why didnt you stay with the first one, i had no choice i was kicked from pillar to post in the first three years, i was, and still am a digiboxer.its took me 5 yrs to get my first and only guide into the edited.

-
as you probably remember even the name digi was frowned on, some thought that we shouldnt be on.
-
one even said we should pay for the service. even then the tv and emails with phone was about £50 a month, the internet was about £15 to £20.
-
my first was thelinkman.
-

-
i was the linksman as i was the one that kept the digis with links to anything, that could transfer to the active emails, even the smileys and blobbed picks. lol jim

-
the pic pages wont open now, i see maybe three then overload bar. all my pics on my space are h and w, even the guide i did, not the edited one jim

I can still use that account, but when I joined the h2g2 staff I was given a superlow number U24 - so I use that one nowadays.
One the U15551 is my personal one - but this one U24 I use at work.

Yes I remember Wowbagger.
People naturally drift away I think - often they seem to find romance and that keeps them busy!

hi
-
what happened to wowbagger, he was if i remember one of the main h2h2 artists.
-
his archives are still there, but i cant see on the digi the pics anymore, the change to the blobs and pics made it impossible now
-
there was a few romances, angelicaheaven and stuey for a time, and one i think connecting spain and england i heard about.
-
a lot of my freinds went with the yike of the digi about two yrs ago, there are only a handfull on here now, but the guides and things the digis left for others was equal, if not more to most on a pc. jim

H2g2 seems to have gotten super seeded by wikipedia, normal forums and various other online guff. I've always thought that H2G2 was a special website and was proud to have a U number small enough to remember off by heart.
I remember Wowbagger, great artists, good friend; he shall be missed but I don't think he was ever one of the artists.

I remember Fenchurch's fish. I had my own special wedding one!

gosh yes, fenchurch and the fish, how could I forget.
Wowbagger, yes he was around prior to the artists group, it was before his time anyway, but he was more of a wonderfully skilled cartoonist than a general artist anyway. Brilliant cartoon strips, I used to look forward to them coming in, and then we all used to crowd around our laptops at TDV to have a look at that weeks' new one.

Very true, we'll not see the likes of that quality again. El Goonish be damned Wowbagger's strip was my first cartoon/comic love.
So, the question is now that we've all run off, gotten married, had kids; are we still H2G2 vagabonds?

Hi folks! I'm also a long-timer here on h2g2. I joined in 2000 ... perhaps in May or June, about. There have been some MAJOR changes in my life since then ... but I'm still here and still active. The site does seem as if it's changed. Most of my 'old' friends are gone. It seems also as if the atmosphere is not quite the same as before ... it feels rather empty and lonely and quiet here at the mo ... for me at least. But I still like this site a lot ... I still think it is a great place offering some things I don't know any other site out there offers. But I'm not much 'out there' anywhere else on the internet either ...
