Man I hate the church!
Foxdragon - Resident Pyromancer Posted Sep 28, 2004
Yeah, I know what you mean Tony, it's just that I've drifted away from going to church and following my own path. That includes getting to know myself more, which has been an interesting journey so far...I've a feeling that there's more to come.
Man I hate the church!
RainbowMovement Posted Sep 29, 2004
There is much more to come. You have but a grain of truth as indeed does everyone. The only way it will grow is by not building a wall around it, but start building bridges to reach out to others so that we can share our grains of truth together.
We grow and blossom and we fade and die, then we really live in the beauty that God created in us, for God dwells within every soul, and every soul is an image of God. Sometimes in pain, sometimes in joy, but always in love.
God Bless.
Love, Tony.

It's not religion I have a problem with, personally- it's the people who use it as an excuse for hypocrisy and let it blind them to what peple really are and what really matters that I hate. I'm not saying every Christian in the world is a hypocrite etc, I have a pen friend who's the salt of the Earth and she's a very devout Christian; It's just that we are in principle a forgiving religion, but in practice we can be quite unkind.

We must learn to understand that people only judge and condemn because of their own fears and prejudices that cloud their minds. That is why people follow religion, because they are afraid to find their own spirituality with God, because they listen too much to those who put them down and do not feel worthy themselves.
God says;
"Take my hand and I will show you the way I have chosen for you and you will be my shepherd - feed my sheep."
The above just came to me. Is it for you or me or both?
Love, Tony.

From a psychological point of view, religion is a crutch, and yes...it is, Jesus is there to help us with carrying our burden.
Returning what was being said, people are like sheep, blindly following whatever is in front of them, but it is the sensible ones that break away from the flock to follow God's own path. I know this sounds weird, but it's true from where I'm standing.
Man I hate the church!
RainbowMovement Posted Sep 30, 2004
We all have to follow God and a shepherd must lead the people to God and not to follow any form of religion. So yes! We have to break from religion and search for our own spiritual path, and Jesus led the way, and we must follow and lead others along that path.
This path is love, forgiveness, respect, trust through the grace of God, and we find that path only when we live by being true to ourselves and realise that God is in us, and we are in God.
Every Blessing.
Love, Tony.

What? Over? Aw, just when you think you'd be happy to get rid of something.. you miss it!#
Oh well, all Christians back to their cells for the unenlightened,
Man I hate the church!
RainbowMovement Posted Oct 2, 2004
Well Nini, it is never over, so please share your thoughts, ask me some questions, and give me a challenge I cannot refuse.
Once my book is published, "Welcome to Pastures New - The Journey." there will be much to discuss, and many interesting topics I hope. I will also launch "The Eternal Word." the Official Newsletter of the Rainbow Movement for all Friends of the Rainbow Movement.
This book and newsletter will turn the tables on religion and open the eyes of people to the truth that truth is within them and that God is with them and in them and they no longer need religion to find God, only an open heart to the Spirit of God.
Every Blessing,
Love from Tony.

ENOUGH OF THE PROMOTING!! Anyway, I don't do well in terms of arguments against religious types, almost always ends up bad for me because I run off scared.
Man I hate the church!
RainbowMovement Posted Oct 2, 2004
Sorry Nina! If you think all I am doing is promoting my ideas I am ver sorry, I just wanted to encourage people to seek their own spiritual path.
My sincere best wishes.

Do not sulk Nini, I am sorry for spelling your name wrong. I will make sure it does not happen again.
Please share your opinions and beliefs because I would be interested, since it appears like me, you have been hurt by the religious types, and maybe we can agree on something.
Please do not shout, because when people type in capital letters they are shouting.
Wishing you every blessing.
Love from Tony.

I was intentionally shouting Tony.. Anyway, it's not being hurt by religious types but rather that they seem a bit... well, short of brain cells really. Some churches are rich and it doesn't seem good to be sitting on money for religious purposes. Don't really have much of a problem with other religions but Chrisitianity really does annoy me severely as a religion and concept. I don't like people having to rely of false deities and 'gods' in order to have meaning to life.

RainbowMovement Posted Oct 3, 2004
Christianity today, is no different to any other religion, all religions have defects, and all religions only have a grain of truth, they just think that they have all the truth.
True Christianity follows the teachings of Jesus, but what you see in churches today are people who live by the law and have forgotten that the law died with Christ on the cross.
If you want true Christianity, you must follow your heart and seek with your heart the truth that Jesus taught 2000 years ago. If you follow the churches or even me, you will not find the truth until you search for it within yourself.
I want to show everyone the way, and the way is inside every heart.
Every Blessing.
Love from Tony.

Nini Posted Oct 3, 2004
I'm no would-be Chiristian, Jew, Sikh, Muslim or Buhddist, I don't agree with a lot of what any religion teaches and I surely am not going to listen to the teachings of someone who may or indeed may not have existed 2000+ years ago. Religion is just an organised cult.
Man I hate the church!
Nini Posted Oct 10, 2004
And I win the religious debate, though nobody is here to enjoy my victory...
Man I hate the church!
RainbowMovement Posted Oct 11, 2004
Well done Nini; What debate did you win?
I did not know there was a competition, I just thought we were sharing our thoughts and faith with each other. I did not reply because you said what you thought and I had already said what I thought and so left it that.
But if you won, you better open the
Lots of love, Tony.
