Long time no no chat, how ya doing? and what happened ed to the poem you were meant to be doing in that thread?...or was it my turn

To be honest I've just been messing about on here for the last few weeks, getting into the Telegram thread and hoping to get into the next Masters' Tournament. You're right, it's my turn for the poem and I'll try to get it done asap!!

So how've you been? How's things in your world?

Oh the telegram thread eh! I was in the masters tournament last time but i lost in the semi's now i've lost the plot with them, i can never think of anything

My worlds been chaotic the last few weeks to say the least. I lost my cat at a few weeks back. He had kidney disease and had to be put to sleep Then Thursday i got dumped by TEXT!! so that cheered me up no end Other than the normal stuff nothing exciting

Hows the footy going? got a place yet?

Really sorry to hear about your cat Jen, I feel awful now about one of the old poems I wrote. Was he your only pet?
Dumped by TEXT? What a @*%#in' coward!! Losers like that don't deserve people like you, I hope you told them where to go!!

My football has not quite reached fever pitch (lame attempt at Nick Hornby pun there) yet, but at least I'm starting to play again. My sister bought me a football for my birthday a few weeks back and that's kind of forced my hand and shamed me into phoning round the lads last week to arrange a game on our local astroturf pitch. I can't wait as I havn't kicked a ball in anger in months, although I have serious reservations about my ability to last more than 5 mins (on the football pitch!!!!)
I the worst comes to the worst, there's a bar there for half-time ...er, refreshments!!

What!! you mean you've let you footy slip? shame on you If you have the ability use it m'dear. Don't tell me, nights of clubbing with losts of alcohol consumption have got in the way of your training!!

Yes Guiness was my only pet and i miss him alot, i'm not getting another cat though. I I think its time for a break, besides its so hard when they go

Err well i was'nt expecting to be dumped by text, thats a new one on me. I much prefer to face to face approach, least that way i get a chance to say something. I over=estimated him, i thought he had more guts!! Not really my type after all, in fact i feel quite sorry for him, he's obviously very introvert still its done now

Glad you can at least see through the issue to make so much sense of it.

I know, I know, I SHOULD play more perhaps this will be the start of something beautiful.....?
Must dash now mate, much work to do and not much time 'til we open this morning. I'll make sure I'm back in touch later today if poss, or tomorrow. Have a day, speak soon

Hey Jen, I managed to get another entry onto the Telegram Hall of Fame board!! Still haven't managed to get round to the poem, perhaps tomorrow......!!

Notice you haven't been on here today, hope you're well. Do you actually "know" loads of people on here (i.e. met them?) or do you just know them online so-to-speak? Have been to your page (and lurked a while too <slightlyashamedsmiley&gt and you sure have loads of good mates, don't you?

I'm glad to hear your playing footy again.

I have met a few people on here, i went to a 'meet' in London back in January. Thats where i met my now 'ex'. I have alot of good friends on here, which is nice.
Maybe you should come London meet, and meet a few of us

Hey Jen, what's with the rather downbeat moniker today? Surely things can't be ALL bad......

Played football last night - God I'm feeling stiff this morning!! Felt good to get back out there though. You know, you were right - I really won't realise what I can do unless I get off my lazy ar$e and do it.

As for the next London meet, you should let me know when and where and I'll try to come along. If it's your first one how do you recognise the other hootoo-ers? Do you all arrange to wear one trouser leg rolled up, or all wear rucksacks on your front like French exchange students?

Write me back and we'll see if we can't cheer you up babe.

my tag! oh yes err, its not the best of times right now, but i'll be fine soon. I just have to go with the flow till it passes

The meet is in June or July a date has'nt been decided yet. Its normal for us all to meet in one place, and then posibly move on to another depending if your there early. We have to wear name badges, that way people can be easily identified...Just to confuse matters Tim and I swapped badges last time

Hhmmm so you need to practise your footy a bit more then, that way you won't be aching the next day

Feeling much less stiff today, my body must be getting used to the fact that it's got to play football every week again!!
U been anywhere good on hootoo recently, I've just been hanging round my favourite haunts and could do with some inspiration.

I've not been at work for a good few days so apologies for not writing back !!
Definitely up for more football tonight. It's Tuesday and I've psych-ed myself up for it! Hopefully this time I'll recover before Friday lunchtime.

Don't know if you've noticed but I've somehow managed to end up at the top of the current Telegram Game world rankings Not sure how that happened, I think BlackberryCat will be the one to beat if I make it through to the Masters' Tournament.

Anyhoo, got to go now. Prob get a chance to pop in tomorrow and say 'Hi' if you're about. Hope you're keeping well, speak soon.

It was Blackberry cat that knocked me out of the semi's, she's pretty good.

"The more you play, the less stiff you'll be," - if that were true then I'd have to start playing every night cos I'm in agony today!!

I reckon I'll have to start running once or twice a week too, just so the football isn't the ONLY excercise I get in the week.
