Things have been good here. The summer meet was great fun, aside from the picnic in Hyde Park! It was freezing cold and then it rained.....shame!! We had to go to the pub instead

I've been working hard at home...oh and at work too

I don't spend so much time on here now, although i do pop in everyday to check messages n stuff

So what sort of things have you been up to?

Also had a mega-picnic in Hyde Park for the last night of the Proms - a really great night of all-round entertainment (God I sound like a press release!!). Went to a Happy Mondays gig on Clapham Common last month too, fantastic!!

I have to admit I don't spend much time on here now, just enough to have a quick rant from time to time!

Off home for football tonight: I work in Southampton during the week so it's a 130 mile round trip to get home and back for footie. Now that's commitment.

Are you thinking of moving to Southampton then? Its a nice place to live

No thinking of moving there, it's just that my company's head office is in Southampton so meetings are often scheduled there. Actually I've been in Salisbury for most of last week, Portsmouth for most of this week, and I'll be in Poole for most of next week. South coast, don't you just love it?!

I scored the winning goal last night - very exciting. Our games are becoming more and more competitive and last night threatened to boiil over a bit. I mean we're all friends playing together for a laugh and a bit of a run-around but some seemed to take exception to things last night. Oh well, I guess it'll all sort itself out when we go out for a curry tomorrow night!!

now i'm getting homesick I love Poole, it been years since i was last there. I don't go down that way anymore since my folks passed away.

So are you still waiting to be signed up to a proper footy team? My grandson says he want to be a football player.....More weekends freezing to death on a footy pitch watching the lad!

Played again last night after having been told by my physio last week that I've got "Patella Tendonitis" (bad knees) - don't think I'll be playing for a while now as my legs feel like someone's gone at them with a baseball bat.
Not really getting to see much of Poole as I'm working during the day and on my own at night. Hotels are boring when you stay in them for more than a night at a time!

Actually i DON'T look old enough...but hey! i am a grandparent and theres little i can do about it

You're right, there isn't much to do in a hotel but unfortunately that's where I'll be for the foreseeable future.

Hope you had a good weekend, for my part it passed off quite quietly, which was a blessing given that last week involved many hotel bars being propped up. lol

Oh did i have a weekend and not know about it?!... Aahhh yes i spent the whole weekend working. Putting up the huge christmas display The grand opening is this coming Saturday, fortunately i won't be there!
