“Look out! Food escape!”

I hate being sick, but I suppose it has good and bad sides.
Fortunately it means that I don’t have to go anywhere, I get to just stay at home. It also means I get to spend my day on hootoo
Then of course there’s the down side. I miss two classes today, math and a biology lab. I suppose I can always make up the biology lab later or something. The other bad thing about my not going to school is that now I get to spend the whole day second guessing myself as to whether I really was sick enough to warrant staying home.
Oh well, I’m sure being able to be on hootoo is enough of a plus to make it all worth while…. Well, maybe not the feeling terribly ill part.
Now I’ve just got to write my teachers to tell them I’m not coming and then I can just feel sick without any pressing time deadlines….

Red Dwarf!
If you're off school because you're sick, Don't Waste It! Hootoo! Missing two classes can't be that big a deal or nobody would ever get sick ever.
Sorry you're not feeling well though Is it good chicken soup?
“Look out! Food escape!”
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
yes red dwarf, thats the first thing that came to mind. if i'm home sick i might as well watch that episode too, if i have it on dvd.
and thanks trin i hope its not that important.
i sent an email to each of my teachers.... but i really had no idea what to say in them.
i've yet to make the chicken soup.... its in the kitchen cupboard in a nice can just waiting to be heated up. but at the moment i really dont feel like eating, so it will have to wait.

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
i wish!
i only just stopped for lunch, i've spent since i posted the journal entry doing math and biology homework.
no rest for the wicked? but i'm not wicked! if i'm good doesnt that mean i get to rest? i suppose i must have done something wicked without knowing it....
"its so easy to be wicked without knowing it"
who said that? wasnt it louesa may alcott? or some such thing?
“Look out! Food escape!”
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 26, 2005
Alcott? Could be ...
You've been doing homework? That is, er, good Me, I'd have gone with the Reddwarfathon. Then again, I don't have any homework.
And nor will you, once Reddyfreddy sweeps to power of course
Voting is now open, by the way *grovelly politician voice* A5889261
(Have you been to see yourself on our campaign page? I updated the list of Ministers - A5656124 - no hurry over the jungle: whenever you're ready )
Oo - and I was campaigning the other day and one of the VP candidates made a *very* disparaging remark about Vikings I was going to put something on the Lifthrasir page about it - the berserkers should know!
“Look out! Food escape!”
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
oooh! i'm off to vote now! thanks for letting me know!
yes! minister of jungles! i feel so special
making remarks about vikings were they!? perhaps you should write a ballad about it!!!!
well how about this? we just take those horible people in the jungle and perhaps they'll be eaten by tigers or bitten by mosquitoes or something...
hooray! no homework here i come!!
although i have to confess, its not all work and no play... i watched the bauhaus "gotham" video twice
“Look out! Food escape!”
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 26, 2005
I still want to know what that is - is it a concert? Because I don't think I've ever heard of it (and I used to have a friend who was a Bauhaus *nut* - had absolutely everything and had met them all too!)
“Look out! Food escape!”
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
gah! i cant even tell you how jealous i am of that person, i wish i could meet them all. then again... perhaps not. its probably awcward to meet a group of people you admire, what on earth would you say?
its a concert. it was filmed in new york and it was that small set of concerts that they reunited for.
would you reccomend voting for just one person? or ranking everyone?
“Look out! Food escape!”
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 26, 2005
Oo, I wouldn't presume to tell you Minister I suppose it's in our interests to vote just for ourselves ... but vote for whoever you like, basically
This friend of mine grew up somewhere near where they came from (somewhere in Northamptonshire, I think). He had a lot of stuff they all went on to make afterwards too, some really obscure things: Love and Rockets, David J's solo albums (which were actually really good - he did one with a band called The Jazz Butcher too, which I still listen to every now and again).
“Look out! Food escape!”
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
i want at least one david j solo album, i just cant seem to get my hands on one. getting a tad frusterating.
i like love and rockets and tones on tail, even though some of it is odd.
all i need is more money i tell you! then i get aquire more bauhaus things....
perhaps i'll put it in my christmas list "unlimited supply of cash or all sorts of bauhaus paraphanalia" something to that effect.
although being a minister perhaps i can just attempt to pass some kind of law
oh of course i'll vote for us!
i just wasnt too sure if it was expected to rank all the candidates from best to worst..... of course we're the best!

Trin Tragula Posted Sep 26, 2005
Well, the new administration will be looking to acquire a substantial music library for Reddyfreddy's new palace, I'm sure
(No, I was being all twisty and political there - if we all just vote for us and don't give any other choices, then the other parties get nothing. Wa ha ha ha *cough* ha ha!!!)
“Look out! Food escape!”
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
oooh... i see... i didnt know that. good think i only voted reddyfreddy then
yes! a music library! sounds great!
*rubs hands together in anticipation*

Hoorah!
I'd better get on to the architects in that case, tell them to put another wing on to house all the CDs and DVDs (and your own private key to the 'Bauhaus Room' obviously).
“Look out! Food escape!”
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
its a wonderful idea trin, and thank you very much. better than a key to the city i think
we have architects? cool. i used to want to be an architect, now i just want to be an interior designer. easier i think, less math.
“Look out! Food escape!”
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 26, 2005
Lot less math, lot more swatches
I think that's what they're called isn't it? Little strips of material and you go "What do you think?" and the customer goes "Oo, I'm really not sure, Madame Arisz" and you go "See sense customer, that will look *fabulous* in the sun room" That kind of thing.
We are going to need someone to interiorly design the palace, obviously. Job's yours, if you think you can fit it all in with the jungles and
“Look out! Food escape!”
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
yep. those are swatches.
but what i'm not sure of is if that only applies to fabrics or if its also the same word for those little samples of wall paper....
oooh! really!? could i? inerior designing in the palace? i'd be honored...and i'm sure i could fit it in with the jungles and ....
“Look out! Food escape!”
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 26, 2005
You could even combine the jungle and the interior design - that would look pretty good, I think
Little samples of wallpaper - hmmm. Logically, those should be called swatches too. But you never know - if you do get into interior design, there's probably some occult ritual where they initiate you into the craft and only then do they tell you the proper name for them.
And you wouldn't be allowed to tell me
“Look out! Food escape!”
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Sep 26, 2005
ah yes.... strange initiation rituals....
well keep it under your hat....but if they tell it to me i'll whisper it to you, in a coded message...just to be safe.
well we can definately have at least one jungle room.... quite possibly more... yes, rooms with a jungle motif sounds good. but then of course we will simply have to have a room with a theme, just so it doesnt feel left out...
