Grimley Moer

Dear MF,

Delighted to see you have joined the group dementia that is The Ballad of Grimley Moer. However, you obviously logged on to Page One, and have therefore missed the developments since.

Just to help you acclimatise:
1) the rules have changed, you may now add as many lines as you wish so long as they adhere to traditional ballad metre and rhyme.
2) The story has been developing ( after the initial chaos of Pages 1 - 20 ) along relatively coherent lines, well, relatively.
3) An unwritten convention has developed whereby we do not hijack each other's characters or story-lines, which can be as weird as you like. Grimley Moer should be thought of as a sort of Disc-World, wherein anything is possible.
4) So, feel free to add a whole new twist, introducing new characters, new sub-plots, whatever. They need not even originate in Grimley, or even connect with the main story, it's up to you and your imagination.
5) And if you have the stomach for it, try reading, say, the last twenty or so pages to give you a feel for where it's going.
6) The main addicts have been away on holidays, so we're not writing as frequently as we were a couple of weeks ago.
7) Have fun!

Cheers,

Chaiwallah
