I'm back, decorating done, sitting in a lovely looking sitting room and enjoying my 29th birthday, things shall return to normal service as of the morrow and I shall catch up on the backlog, but til then cheery bye!

And why does tonemonkey have a on his fizzog I hear you ask. (or maybe I dont 
) The truth is that I have finally done it, gone out and bought a guitar. I have been thinking about this since god knows when, and been having a real struggle to decide what to get.
So here it is, I bought a Gibson Les Paul Standard, for those that dont know it provides the sound of early clapton, freddie king, peter green and mike bloomfield, and for those who dont know these musicians put simply it ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRRSSSSS in a bluesy way! I'm in love (I obviously do still love my wife and daughter, and my Strat, but hey this is a new infatuation) I keep opening the case just to look at it.

Memories

Today is the anniversary of something that you really don't want to have to remember.
1 year ago today my father died. From lung cancer, a terrible, horrific way to see anyone you love die, let alone the amguish that they themselves must suffer.
It has been a strange day, filled with mixed emotions, but it has marked a milestone on my road to recovery. I feel stronger now than ever before, readier to take on whatever life throws at me, and more in touch with my family.
I feel however that I should say this:
Dad, I love you, I miss you. Though the hurt does not lessen, the load becomes easier to bear, and though time passes you remain with me.

It's my beautiful wifes birthday today so I'm not around for long.
