spot on Jim, rain/wind, its just eased slightly, but I've still to go shopping and they've just put bus fares up 10p to 80p for a one mile trip

my fare went up 5p,but there will be ni half fare now from 3pm till 6pm

I'm not classed as disabled, I can't get it, because they say I can walk and feed myself, so I don't get any travel passes,I'm 55yrs and to see the "normal" people con the benefit system and get away with it, makes my blood boil. I know one person, who is in our Buffalo lodge, who gets the car etc, for so called neck whiplash and get this! curvature of the spine and there's nowt wrong with him, he's a conman, me I've got curvature of the spine and it showsNaff all!!

my troubles with my back started back when i worked in the textiles, as a labourer,fetch and carry,moving heavy beems,wheeling heavy bales all day,i was only 11 stone weakling,the hand cart weighed 45 kilos, the bales(montys)over 300 kilos.so something had to give and it was i back,

i started on a green card back then, but i couldnt get any kind of work so i stopped telling them i had it on interveiws.

my last job(1994) i was an architects printer for one of the big firms,they had the job for supermarkets,shell petrol stations, and the dreaded meadow hall,

the latter was the one that did for me, they changed the plans so often i was printing non stop over and over again evry second day, being summer, in a basement no windows just a back door,the heat caused me with all the rushing abouut to have two heart attacks in three days.

i was off work for over 6 months, that in the end the doc advised i give in my notice,so i did.then while i was on notice my sister(now died_became ill and couldnt get around, so i became her carer,i havent worked since end of story,boring life havent i lol jim

got made redundant in 86 from chemical firm, my age/body/size all against me, re: jobs, then 13 yr this Oct, became single parent, as still now

in the 70,s i lost count how many times i got made redundant,what with being at a steel firm,
went on strike,last in, first out,

worked filling petrol and oil tankers in salford nr manchester, haulers went on strike,last in, first out again,

moved to sheffield, worked for a tool company,part damaged by fire, again, last,first,
then got a job on nights, part of a team making car springs, yep the fiasco over the car firm, that caused the big strike,to many car springs, not enough work, last in, first out,

moved to barnsley,no jobs, after three months,
this was about 1980 now, i came to bradford, where my mother was still living,by found digs,

So,you both haven't received your invites for the Royal Wedding then ? I'm surprised to hear that,mine came last week ! I'll write to Charles and ask what the hold-up is ! I can't go without you two,I mean it would n't be right would it ? Unless we go to Aintree instead of course ! Either way,I get a new outfit so I don't care ! Thats the wedding out of the way then ! OK ,now what can Mr Blair possibly of done to upset you both so very much ? I'll write to him too while I'm at it ! I can't let you two feel so let down.I mean,my tax bill has gone up hugely,the v.a.t. man has fallen in love with me.My dentist bills are collossal,and I can't park my car anywhere without paying brewsters for the honour.I think Mr Blair is as wonderful as all of other politicians,so we should save thenm the trouble of having to count our votes,can Mr.Howard count anyway ? some days when i get up. i feel a lot older than i am, some days,my back makes me feel 90ish

i get up at 9am evry day,i need to take a painkiller straight away, by the time ive made a cuppa,it usually takes effect.

its at least 9-45 before i make a move even if im going somewhere.and if the weathers cold or damp,i dont even try.i hate cold winters,snow is the worsed.

I'm with you mate, I understand, I have a friend who has 24 hr pain and as he says, people just don't know what proper pain is
