Coffee with go faster stripes..... hell yeah!!

Well I must explain that I am a caffine head of the highest order, I the coffee in a big, big, way. Truth be told I am functionally addicted to the damn stuff.
I have always enjoyed Cafe coffee, and allthough I have used a cafetierre (spelling?) for years it always seems vaguely dissapointing.
However this xmas my dear parents got me a pretty special espresso/coffee maker and it is fabo! Coffee shop style coffee at home. It is even pretty easy to use and clean. Fan-figging-tastic!
Only slight problem is that I cannot quite seem to get the hang of the old milk frother, however the manual suggests using full fat milok, so I suppose the skimmed milk I take might not be up to being frothed.
and after a bit
Happy New Year all!

Well I normally tire of new toys quickly (my house is a gaveyard of gadgets), but I my espresso machine still.
Truth is it is easier to use than a cafitierre (spelling?) and not that much more hassle than instant. Loads nice though.

No.
I think it just isnt a very good one. Also that skimmed milk isnt particularly suited to frothing.
Still "horse kick" strength lattes and machiatos do the trick for me!

I nearly punched the serving lass in Cafe Nero the other week.
"Can I have a macchiato please?"
"You do know that's just coffee and froth right?"
Oh, as opposed to say, I don't know, any other overpriced coffees they sell in those places?
*sigh*

Good old machiato, doesn't take the skin off the back of your neck quite as much as a double espresso, and not as gay as a latte. Nice compromise I think!

Heh, I'd never thought of it like that, but I guess it all makes sense.

nowt wrong with a latte
I'd like a machine, but I'm very happy with the results of my stove top Italian jobby (I have 2 big ones because otherwise there isn't enough when wants a cup too) and an aerolatte for the milk.
In fact, what a great Idea. I'm off to make one now
