Hi Totty,
Like you I'll be glad when this festive bit is all over and I see if there's anything left in the bank(I doubt it!) I'm old enough to remember you were lucky to get a colouring book and a small box of paints, along with your new penny, satsuma and apple.
My grandchildren are already burried in video games, gameboys and what have you, apart from all the guitars and amplifiers. It promises to be a noisy christmas day.
You'll be finishing work this week until the new year? Hope you have a good time all the same
And hello Taamyu, nice of you to pop up here - I'm sure you must be on lots of friends lists but, like Totty, I don't have one either.
Does it snow in Japan? My son in Canada has been busy shovelling snow last weekend, and a pen-friend in USA had 16 inches of snow.
We've been lucky so far and just had a little rain, no doubt we'll get it in time.

Hiya Jazz
We have snow in the north of Japan.
Even here in Osaka, if it's freezing cold we have snow
Not so much, but we have had in the other parts of Japan, so Japan season has come
Some places has snow over 1-3 metre
But we have not so much snow here in Osaka
Chat soon
Taamyu
I'm speaking to Jazz at Totty's thread

Hi Totty,
Just like my evening classes - stop work and they stop the money !
I had to attend a whole day seminar a couple of weeks ago on the Disability Discrimination Act to learn a lot of politically correct nonsense, as if we were likely to be nasty to anyone disabled !But I do believe we will be paid something for it
At least, because I teach adults I didn't have to be finger printed and checked against police records - they would have found out that I drove on to a pedestrian crossing before a pedestrian had left it!!! shame. £60 plus 3 penalty points.
I'm glad you don't put yourself in debt Totty, there's a lot of people making a very big hole for themselves. I never liked having a mortgage but it's paid off now thank goodness. Am I talking to you like a Dutch uncle?
What annoys me is having to pay income tax on my pension.
Taamyu - do you have lots of taxes out there?
I didn't know you had ski resorts!
Do you know what we oldies mean by ski?
Spending the Kids Inheritance.
S K I
to you both - soon be Christmas

Morning Jazzme
no your not talking to me like a Dutch Uncle
Well i have a NO police record and a clean driving licence, when i applied for my job working at the school i had to have a Police check and Doctor check, but i already new i had no Police record but whether i was mentally all there was up to the Doctor nah, just kidding!!! course i am
Well im away to pick my little one up from school and bring her home for luch, its her schools Christmas Party today so im bringing her home to get dressed in her party outfit (so cute!!)
Have a lovely day and ill talk to you soon

Evening Totty,
I do hope your little girl enjoyed the christmas party - it's a magic time for little ones isn't it? Waiting to hear if the reindeer bells are ringing and the pleasure of seeing Santa at the party. Did she get a present?
The last school party I was at I got a box of coloured bars of plasticine and was absolutely delighted.
Now with credit cards I tell my wife she thinks it's christmas every day - you just choose what you want and hand your card in - when the bill comes in you just pass it on to the old man and he writes the cheques.
Chat soon

Hiya Jazz
Yep she loved the party and was happy that was there!! sll the kids got a book as a present but mt wee one was over the moon its a sin when they eventually find out who leaves the gifts under the tree i was heartbroken when i realised there was no santa, can still remember how i found out!!! we always put milk, cookies and a carrot by the fire for santa and the reaindeer but this one year when i was still small my mum made the mistake of putting the carrot back in the veg rack. she had said rudolph had eaten it and when i said to her it was in the kitchen she had no choice but to tell me... i cried for days
my brother found out by finding all the presents in my mum/dads bedroom and ended up playing with them...much to the horror of my mum
well i dont own a single credit card so i dunno what its like i pay everything by cash, what iv not got i wont get

Hiya Totty,
So glad your daughter enjoyed the party and she still believes in Santa.
I was about 10 I think when my brother (4 years older) told me, and led me around my parent's bedroom looking for our christmas boxes. We found them but didn't have time to examine them because my Mum came back in - fortunately she didn't catch us and we pretended to still believe until after christmas. The magic went though and didn't return until my first girl-friend
It's nice to know you still maintain the principles of not getting into debt - we were brought up the same way, if you can't afford it, do without!
Buying a house was my first departure - we are still in the same house, and the mortgage now paid off and I pay off my credit cards in full every month.
must go now, see you soon
Jazz

Just leave my here today
Jazzme,
We had very very light snow in my town, a mountain side of Oksaka this afternoon (it's 23.36 of the 19th in Japan (14.36 of the 19th GMT)), but not heavy snow .
We have had heavy snow in the other parts of Japan (North Japan)
YUP, we have many ski resorts. Don't you know the Winter Olympic was held in JAPAN TWICE
Totty
It's really cold today here
The wind is whirling, blowing
I've been bit tired for weeks and I get very lazy to reply not only to you but also to other my friends here
Well, have a Lovely time
Taamyu

Jazz
Yep, i was brought up to believe the same as you...if you dont have it you dont get it There are far too many spoiled children these days and becuase they always get what they want the parents are in serious debt... i couldnt do that!!!
The only thing me and my ex-partner ever did was get a bank loan one year to re-decorate our bathroom and get a fited shower and have the bathroom fully tiled, although im no longer at that address and the bathroom in my new flat is seriously in need of being decorated!!!! but when i have the money it will eventually get done
So what have you planned for this weekend then??
Ill just be finishing wrapping presents and thats about it really, i gave up writing cards, terrible i know but i couldnt be bothered
well hope whatever you do you have a nice weekend, chat soon, take care
Taamyu
its been really cold and frosty here today the forcast for the weekend is snow and fog so dont think ill be out much only to take the dog for a walk
well best be going, things to do!!!!
