Because without lerts the world will be...er...delert? lertless? conlert? Something!
So I'm definitely home now, complete with suitcase contents all over the floor, no space on my bookshelves, jet-lag like I've never had before, and cat hair on EVERYTHING!
However I do got my piano and my Lizst CD and my books and my bed and my pillows and my fridge and...
Thank you very much for having me Mikey. Remember everyone though...sometimes people on the internet really ARE puppy molesting serial killers...just not this time.
Thanks for the maff books Amy, I think I'll be needing them. Everyone's going to suddenly start getting messages asking about random triangles and stupid people who want to buy so many spider plants in so much time using so many gold bars.
Anyways, I shall now proceed to sleep all weekend...except for anyone who was planning on calling me. I'll answer the phone I guess
Once again, thanks to Mikey

We have....a problem.
My parents, being who they are, REPLACED MY MATRESS while I was away. No wonder I couldn't sleep properly even though I was zonked out! I'm SO unpleased about this. I don't feel as if I'm IN MY bed, I feel as if I'm ON A bed!!! Although perhaps now I'll spend less time in bed?
Anyway...I just really needed to complain about that. Anyone who witnessed the 'Great Duvet Swap' will understand how upsetting this is
Thanks for the welcome backs everyone, always nice to feel special.

Nice but intrusive - replacing your mattress. Do you think you can get used to the new one? But wait, with all you have to do on your return, you don't have time to spend in bed anyway, so maybe it's all for the best.

My old one was all comfy and 20 years old and cosy
This one I really do feel as if I'm perched on it.
Oh mam just got up...and said that I needed a new matress and that's that

You already know which side of this one I'm on.
Is it at least more comfortable than what you were sleeping on here?

I used to have a lovely mattress... then it went on holiday to a cottage near Dover, and when we moved here it was given to Sean

Turns out it's the new one from the spare room, and my one's been moved onto that bed...so I might just swap them back
But I'll at least wait a week first.
And no it's not as comfy as the futon because I'm used to matresses that have had all the life knocked out of them so to find a hard boingy one is decided odd.
Is the matress good Amy? I've never encountered one before so I don't know how they're different to your average ones.

Ah maybe you could have my one Amy, I feel as if I'm balancing on something odd.
Hello Charlotte! Welcome to h2g2, hope you're enjoying yourself roaming around Any questions then just ask any of us...
How's the piano going Joe C?
Who knows about intervals and time signatures well in music theory? (no not you Mikey, we proved that we are reasonably incompetent)
Also what's a reasonable time to telephone someone on a saturday?? now?

I've asked my mum for the Grade 2 book. She said maybe (no surprises there then).
And now is reasonable to call someone on a Saturday - unless they're the nocturnal sort...
