Hello

HtoHe, short for HtoHeWhoamtheonlyone, is how I usually appear on the boards. You might find me at Radio 4's 'Word of Mouth' or, more recently, at 'Discuss the Archers'. I visit 'Classical Music on Radio 3' now and then but I'm more likely to be found on Radio 3's 'Proms' messageboard during the Proms season.

I'm told my number (2335032) makes the calculation easy and it must be true because I had little difficulty with it - and maths is not one of my strengths:

2+3+35+(0*3)+2 = 42

or, without multiplying by zero;

(23*3)+5+0-32 = 42

or

2^3+35+0-3+2 = 42


Andy D, who clearly knows more about maths than I do, came up with five calculations in as many minutes:

[23 + (3-5) + (0*3)] * 2 = 42
[(2 + 3) * 3] - 5 + 0 + 32 = 42
2 + 33 + 5 + (0*3) + 2 = 42
(2*3) + 35 + 0 + 3 - 2 = 42
(2 + 3 - 3 + 5 + 0) * 3 * 2 = 42
