A very worrying day...

My dog had to be taken to the vet today... she could barely breathe... Turns out she has pneumonia... The vet says it may be serious, but that it usually turns out allright... I still worry though... my dog is a really fragile being... She's allready got some sort of problem with her pancreas... like diabetes... only with proteins... sort of... I know it's not the same... but I can't remember the english word for "stoffskiftesykdom"...smiley - sadface

God, I hope she'll be allright.

Some fun facts, no, actually, only one fun fact, and it should really be "one funny story", but it doesn't have the same ring to it...

There was an attempted mass-jailbreak in Argentina a while ago, the inmates tried to escape by knocknig a hole in the roof of the prison. Some thirty prisoners were going to climb out through the hole, which was about 30cm in diameter. The first five got out, but when the sixth guy attemted to get out, encouraged by his fellow inmates, a huge flaw in the escape-plan became apparent...

The sixth prisoner was, to put it bluntly, fat... He fell in the old "Winnie the Pooh" trap, and got himself totally stuck, and his twenty-four fellow prisoners who happened to be on the "wrong" side of the hole were left standing awkwardly underneath a pair of legs kicking about in random directions. The prisoners saw no other alternative than to call the guards, in order to help their fellow criminal get back inside.

A guard later commented on the incident as the "funniest thing he'd ever seen", and I'd say he has good reason to...

The five prisoners who managed to get out are still on the loose...

Hmmm....

Why is it that some people see themselves as better people than others?

How can it be that people are prejudiced to such an extent that they fail to appreciate the difference between themselves and others?

And how come some people look down on others because they don't have the same principles as themselves, or don't follow them just as rigidly?

Why do I have to ask these questions?
The answer to that last one is that I'm currently feeling a bit angry because someone accused me of not having any principles... that is NOT true, I just don't have the same principles as you, and I choose to try and convince people through discussion, so that I may learn something from them instead of meeting the wall because I'm acting like an arrogant b*****d.

Oh my, what a rant, what frustration.

But the questions still stand...smiley - sadface

It'll be fun to see all the crazy buggers... I have, of course, kept in touch with some of them throughout the summer, but there are some that you just don't keep in touch with, (Yes, I'm referring to the M-guy, for those who know him, those who don't: you lucky bastards!!!). So i'll be going to bed early and well...
