Hello!
Sheeesh... Don't mention it...*shudder* Ah, well, you'll soon be done, as opposed to me, who is faced with yet another year at a school with an extremely authoritarian headmaster. Or is it headmistress?
Yeah, well, tampering with the natural balance is rarely a good idea.

hiya!
yup it's headmistress...*thinks*... or do you not know if it's a male or female head you have?! Nah i doubt it's that. Is she horrible then? A bit of a bunny boiler?
ah i found out today i have another week of college after this. Och well!
i was reading a book today which was about Scandinavia and it says that in the south of Norway the average temperature in summer is 16 degrees. Yaay!

Hiya!
Alright. Yes, she's horrid. She's the sort of person who can make complete nonsense sound like a great idea, and she's extremely right-wing. She does two things at school: budget-cuts and sharpening the disciplinary rules of the school. It's turning into a blimmin prison... Dictatorship, that's what it is. She completely overruns the student council, and she makes decisions of crucial importance to the students withput involving them in the process.
That's still six weeks less than me, you know?
Yeah, that doesn't seem to inaccurate, but I think they've counted the nights as well, then. It usually goes above 25 when it's sunny...

hiya!
aaaah gosh she sounds horrible. I remember my headmistress from high school was pretty strict and overly-religious. I have no problem wirthem wirth people being religious i just don't like them shoving it down other people's throats. Anyway we didn't go to mass or something(it wasn't obligatory anyway) and she came into out commmon area shouting "May you make your peace with God". My father was rather annoyed when he heard actually. Probably because when it comes to religion we share similar views.
you have 6 weeks to go?! oh gosh!

Hi!
She is horrible. She's turning the individual piano lessons into group lessons with two students in one room. Can you imagine anything more horrible than that?
Oh, god. Don't you hate it when people try to "save you". I can't help but poke fun at them...
Something like that, yes. I'm off some time around mid-june...

Tiara.Kitten*Valentine Cat* Posted May 6, 2004
hi!
eugh that sucks. I hope the person you're with in the lesson is someone you know. Not that it really makes it any better. Is that to save money or something? Will the time you have with the piano teacher then be cut? I have to say i never ever had indivdual music lessons at school.
Yeah i know what you mean. Oh there's always many a joke about headteachers. hehe

Hi!
Well, luckily for me, I'm done with piano lessons after this semester, but I still feel sorry for the first-graders...
And some of them aren't really jokes...

hi!
och it's a shame it's put you off though. Then again drums is your instrument. oh speaking of drums, my dad(after having a few drinks of course) said your name and then said "So which musical instrument does he play? I hope he's not a singer"(!) and i said "No he's a drummer" and he choked on his curry!lol... he just said "F**ck's sake Claire!"... hehe... he had got the story wrong of course. He somehow thought it was you that was in Span. I dunno how he was led to believe that but i'll certainly soon be questioning my mother. hehe oh and when asked asked him what he didn't like about singers he replied "Oh the majority of singers i've known have been vain, arrogant and selfish". rightoes... *rolls eyes
nehoo... hows your weekend been?

Hi!
Yeah, we're giving a protest concert on Saturday by the looks of things. Hehe. No, I'm definitely not in Span... So your father thinks you shouldn't trust drummers? I could believe that. Well, I did seriously consider becoming a singer, but I figured that it would be wrong of me to change sides like that. Well, he is kinda right, in a very generalizing way. Look at Kristian, for instance, he's a singer, and he can be quite vain and arrogant (in a very cute way, but still). There is something to it, but it is of course a huge generalization.
Weekend's been great. I haven't done much, but it's been lovely nonetheless.

hiya!
really? Gosh that never have happened at the school i went to. The staff would have been practically crucified for letting pupils stage a protest gig.
hehe well im glad you're being so understanding!hehe No that's not what he meant, he was just surprised because it's a bit of a coincidence really y'kno?
Ah i see... poor Kristian! I think he meant singers in rock/pop bands to be honest but still. hehe
ah that's cool. Yeah the weather was nice(till now) so i could just lounge about... i have studying to do for tomorrow though... *sigh*

Hello!
Well, youngsters in Norway are encouraged to be politcally active. The teachers are organizing it...
Hehehe. Just surprised? Ah, well, they say a lot of things about drummers, you know? Anyways, he can manage. We tend to joke good-heartedly about it, to be honest. He doesn't take too much offence. Well, it's the same with all of them. There's something about the instrument. It's just so completely... Soloistic and unique to every person, you know? Singers are always encouraged to be themselves and interpret things like they wish to...
We had 27 degrees in the shade yesterday. I've got a project and some other things, oh and there's a blimmin test on thursday too... Ah, well...

hi!
ah i see... see we're just opressed over here... hehe
yeah well perhaps more shocked. He did choke on his food afterall.lol... they don't say drummers are arrogant though do they?
yeah plus singers get all the adoration and attention. It's not their fault if they're a bit vain really!
aaaah im jalous of your weather!
yeah i have a big test tomorrow and then another on wednesday. It's my last week of college but there's no sign of finishing up.

Hello!
Hmmm... maybe.... You certainly take school more seriously than we do over here, anyways...
Hehehehe. I do wonder why... No, drummers are rumored to be sloppy, lazy creatures with no motivation for doing anything whatsoever... I suppose you're right...
Awww... You'll be enjoying it yourself in a month or two...
Hmmm... I wonder why. Ah, well, you'll be done with it soon...

hi!
Hehe yeah that's for sure. It's not as if we get better grades or anything or enjoy school more so i could never justify our attitude towards school.
sloppy and lazy? Oh surely not! hehe Actually now i think about it i always thought drummers were also rumoured to be stupid and fat(!)... that's just people's general assumptions what i think in the slightest(i probably didn't need to state that considering.)
yaay!. The weather is pretty good today. Well it's dry and fairly warm. It's overcast though.
i didn't get the test today. The teacher forgot. So Thursday it is.

Hello!
I suppose you've been raised to respect it more than we do...
Well, I'm the exception that proves the rule. No, when they grow older, most percussionists tend to flatten out a bit, but when they're young... Oh man... Not neccesarily stupid, but scatterbrained. I've yet to see a fat drummer...
Sounds good.
Ah, well. These things happen. I'm not too eager to get all my tests back, to be honest...

hi!
yeah but i wish we could wear pyjamas to school!
actually i've never really seen a fat drummer either... well actually perhaps just one. I mean it's really unlikely because they are the one getting the most exercise. It was my dad that said he thinks people think of drummer's as being stupid. Yeah he really is a loon. hehe
Eugh i have a prelim tomorrow and a speaking test. Bugger!lol
have fun!(if poss)

Hello!
Hehehe. Have you tried? The question is what prevents you... Did I tell you that on our way back to the hotel, two scots came up to us and told us to "run off to the barber's and get a haircut"?
They do get some exercise, yes... He said that? Well, he might be right...
Good luck, then. Or was it today? If so, how did it go?
I did...

hi!
no i haven't right enough. Sometimes i wear my pyjamas top underneath my jumper in winter though. hehe
other poeple prevent me. Sometimes it's better not to stand out or be different as you've proved by what you at you told me. Was it stupid-looking guys of about our age who said that to you? Im not blimmin surprised because they have this mentality where they feel threatened by other guys who have hair even just 1mm longer than the average. They're all boring and all the same. The English call NEDs, skinheads, it's the same bunch of idiots just with a different accent.
my dad when he was 19 used to have very long black(such a musiscal eh?hehe) and he was very badly beaten up by a gang of 4 guys of a similarage just because they didn't like his hair/image. He says looking back the only thing that stopped him from being seriously damamged was that he kept his arms round his head the whole time. I obviously wasn't born at the time but it makes me angry just thinking about it.
Anyhoo... getting too passionate about this!
yeah he did say that. He seems to get slightly annoyed that some people don't see drums as being a musical instrument simply because the notation is somewhat different! He has a point but it's harsh. Anyway i don't know anyone who thinks like that.

Hi!
Ah, so you do it demonstratively without anyone seeing?
I see, oh I didn't mind. I just smiled at them, lied and said that I had been thinking about getting a haircut. They went off, and we went around a corner and laughed our heads off... Actually, I think they were grown-ups, as far as I can remember (I was a bit dizzy, and had a lot on my mind at the time). Yeah, it's horrible when those things happen (I've experienced something similar myself), but it has nothing to do with standing out, really. Those guys just take anyone they can find, for any apparent reason. This is why I'm a pacifist.
I don't know anybody who really thinks like that, but we do get a lot of different jokes about drummers, yes. I think the others are just jealous...
