Researcher 230946 Posted Jul 15, 2003
Kin 'ell.....you'd have been better off laying carpet on the bloody thing!! Your house built on some ancient burial plot or summat?
Apart from completely crapping myself and being worried sick....I'm perfectly fine...what can I do but see how things pan out? I'll be staying with her the first few nights at least....then take it from there.
When are you off on hols?
smile!!!!!
smurfles Posted Jul 15, 2003

Researcher 230946 Posted Jul 15, 2003
I'm just going to get her home first, then start pressuring whoever for extra help. You know how slowly the mill grinds.

it makes me feel sick when they do stuff like that....mind you....I once had 2 dogs that did worse than that.....used to eat the donkey and elephant pooh left on the beach by the circus animals

smurfles Posted Jul 15, 2003

Researcher 230946 Posted Jul 15, 2003
Part of the deal with the cat was that himself was responsible for the litter tray! I can't bear it.....and I think you might be right, cos when I think back to all the things I had to do for the dogs and our cat when I was younger
I#m off to bed Sal, though in this heat I doubt there'll be much sleep done. Night sweetdreams, see you in a few days.

AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHH!!! I don't think I'm in Kansas anymore Toto! Having a meet tomorrow with them what's s'posed to know what's what..about the fiasco that is 'the care plan'....which, according to mum, she doesn't need anyway, cos she's perfectly normal apparently! if only! Crap few days...is the nutshell version, fill you in when I know what's going on.
Hope you're all well & goodxxx

smurfles Posted Jul 20, 2003
hello ,i know you dont need what i'm going to say,but i'll say it anyway.unless you put yourfoot down they'll do as little as possible.i was at a meeting on thursday, and one lady who had a care plan, with respite care included, wasnt fed for three days cos nobody turned up!!!!!she had to get what sshe could,as best she could, but no warm meeals cos she couldnt do it herself.the services only take notice if you make it VERY clear that you arent happy.anyway,i hope youre okay,if you need someone to shout at,help yourself!!!!chat soon.s salxxxx

Howdy Smurf, hope things are running to schedule in 'operation get smurfy on a plane' I know what a big you can be just before it gets to holiday time I bet you've already worked y'self up into a tizz...daft sod! Still, you wouldn't be you if you weren't daft!
I've moved mum back to my place, she's far too vulnerable to be left alone or at the mercy of incompetent carers, so, that's what I did. That said, spoke to a fab woman who's the care manager co-ordinator wotsit, who's now on the case and whom I actually have some confidence in. Which means that I'll get assistance even though she's staying with me...FINALLY!!!!!! It has been absolute hell these last few days. and I just had to regain control of the situation, despite all the drawbacks, it's still easier in most respects for mum to be with me, and it's where she feels safest. She's a real handful at the moment, moods swings are kicking in big time....currently our favourite thing to be is 'Bitch troll from hell', which is loadsa fun as you can imagine.....I dunno Sal, just had to do what had to be done at the time....every day brings something different.....I think I may end up putting myself into care...3 square meals a day..all washing and ironing taken care of.....and pocket money!!! It's sounding appealing!
Aaah well.....back to Bedlam! &
