glad I caught you....I'm ok. been a nightmare of a day..ambulance picked us up at 10:30...got to the hospice at 7;00.. WHAT IS IT WITH MEN & ASKING DIRECTIONS WHEN THEY GET LOST!!! Anyway..got mum settled in, spoke to the doc who thought that all things considered, it is infact the effects of the cancer, so, they'll attempt to make her more 'comfortable' with a dose of steroids, although not the mega doses she was getting before, which may eleviate some of her symptoms, not all. She doubts whether she'll be able to communicate properly again, although she understands what's being said to her, she can't make her own thoughts and wishes known, unless I can find some way round it. Couldn't get through to Helena who was s'posed to pick us up, so ended up getting a cab home ( £25 if you dont mind!!) added on to the bloody train tickets I bought and all the money I spent getting food from Spar while at my bro's...DONT ASK!! Anyway...I'm going to try and arrange a lift from someone to see her tomorrow, and if all goes well, I should be able to bring her home on or after Wednesday.

awwwww,i'm sorry that youve had to go through all that ,as well as everything else.we thought about coming to get you and ty last night,and taking you for a meal,but i didnt know if big bro. would be there,so we thought better of it.it wouldnt have tken us long to get there.anyway,how the hell did t cost you for food??i know,dont ask!!!eh!!!it's a shame that it didnt work well,so you could have at least had break,and just kept your eye on things,you could have doone with the rest.lets hope that everything improves,if only a little,so that youcan get back to some sort of rutineyou know where i am if you want a chat,dont you. for you!!!

You must be knackered y'self with all the stuff going on with the home ...really dissappointed we never got to meet up..I knew it almost soon as we arranged it that it wouldn't happen...best laid plans and all that!

I'll give you a call tomorrow at some point, but don't know when, depends if and when \I get a lift sorted out. Hopefully before I go see mum, if not, deffinately after !

WHAT A DAY!! Decided to take the train down to see mum today, set off at 1pm..got on the wrong train..had to go all the way back to London to get the right train...got to mum's....3 buses home...got in at 10;40pm! Made food....nowvery very.....
