The inside looks nice (wonder if the organ pipes are still played?), but I cringe at what they've done to the tower.
Never mind Catholic senses of humor; good thing is wasn't a Baptist church. They don't drink.

I think that one was Anglican. Quite a few Anglican churches have closed in Ireland because there weren't enough people to sustain them.

Don't know the drinking habits of Anglicans, as they are rather rare over here, but an Episcopalian friend tells this joke on her own folk.
(Reference: For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” .... Bible Gateway: Matthew Chapter 18 Verse 20)
She says, "Where three or four Episcopalians are gathered, ... there's a fifth!"

By and large, I wouldn't think they'd be too hide-bound compared to some groups.
If I'm correct, Anglicans across the ocean basically go as 'Episcopalians' (and so do some other churches).

So, I made a spinach soufflé yesterday. Hadn't done that for ages. Very yummy, and easily done. With boiled potatoes as a side-dish.
Tomorrow, we'll have Grünkernrisotto (that's smoked green spelt). Yummy.
And Toybox gave me the recipe for a lemon meringue, which looks yummy, but requires some work. I bought the icing sugar and ground almonds today, though. I had thought of doing ti today, but I was dragged to the shops by my husband, who can't do the shopping alone for some reason, and now I'm tired.

Please post the recipe for your spinach souffle.
We always used to buy ours ready-made, but I'm sure that frozen dish is not gluten-free.

I've only today seen fresh spinach in a bag.
I used frozen spinach, tough, which is really only spinach, without any cream or stuff.
I'm note sure about how much you'll need, I made a litre pot full.
Separated two eggs, whisked the whites. Mixed the (thawed) spinach with the yolks, salt, a mix of freshly ground peppers and some nutmeg. Added the stiff egg white, sprinkled some cheese on top, put in oven for 15 minutes. Presto. I boiled some potatoes to go with it (Salzkartoffeln, not Pellkartoffeln).
Today, I boiled a whole cauliflower for a good ten minutes (in salted water). Meanwhile, I mixed some mince meat, the leftover potatoes, spices and some water and added some Soßenbinder (ready made, so not feasible for glutenallergics). I'm sure you could use corn starch instead.)
Once the cauliflower had cooled a bit, I cut the stalk out and put some of the rosettes in the meat mix (it was a large cauliflower, so it didn't all fit in the form). I put it in the oven for 25 minutes, the got it out, put cheese on top and put it back in the oven (switched it off) for another ten minutes (without lid, until the cheese was molten).

It was a big success with the family. I didn't get more than a spoonful, so next time I'll have to make a larger portion.
Key: Complain about this post
