Then I apologise for jumping to the wrong conclusions.

No, Gnomon, I respect your opinion. I was only a bit taken aback as you commented on something nobody of us was able to read yet. smiley - biggrin

You were able to read it, in that you could follow the same link I followed, as suggested in one of the previous postings.

Yes, the draft. But we still don't know what he made of it for PR. And you commented on the style. smiley - winkeye

You haven't said what it _is_ about.

Just some negativity I've sensed a lot over the last few weeks.
And I had a bad day (or rather morning) today, and it all just summed up. And what better way to sort your thoughts and get things off your chest than discussing them with your friends?

It would be a pity if you had topics to write about but didn't write about them. From what I've seen of your previous entries, they were always well received in Peer Review, and you've quite a few Edited Entries to your name. We can always do with more.

I'll certainly write again, just not now.
And you are right, Peer Review has always been great for my entries, I can't complain. smiley - smiley

What Gnomon said, B'El. Please don't stop offering Entries to PR.

Even if we don't all agree about the importance of conformity, we surely all agree about the importance of contribution.

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

I really cannot comment as I can only write the way I do, and it is not in PR style! smiley - sadface

I am not prosy, lyrical, or poetical, so writing entries is very difficult. I am a frustrated Scientist who finds the whole thing smiley - huh but hangs in, because I enjoy it. How long that will last is difficult to quantify, but the end of July looks an opportune time to bow out. I do understand your viewpoint, B'El. smiley - applause

Someone wrote a beautiful book once, called 'Rats, Lice, and History'. Hans something...he and Konrad Lorenz illustrate what beautiful writing and science can do together.smiley - winkeye

And you can even read Lorenz in German.smiley - biggrin

TRiG (Ireland) A dog, so bade in office

My EG entries to date:

A16407173 Atmospheric Pollution from the Internal Combustion Engine in the Urban Environment (Dec 4, 2006)
A recycled college paper (with great assistance from Big Al). Very very dry.

A34088024 Writing Signs (Aug 26, 2008)
An interesting subject, but again a dry approach. Maybe I should have said more about the personalities involved. Both Sutton and Stokoe are interesting. One day, perhaps, when I've learned how to write, I'll redo it.

And in PR:

A50602303 Internationalised Domain Names: Bringing the World to the Web (Apr 28, 2009)
Needs a little tweaking. It's a geeky subject (which I find interesting) and as ever is completely dry. It just seems to be the way I write.

There's room for a great variety of style within the EG. And I enjoy a wide variety of entries, including yours.
