It's a bit late folks, but the saying (and the oxford college) is CORPUS Christi - the body of Christ. Bob Stafford is perfectly right in saying that the carpus is the collection of bones that make up the wrist, but 'the wrist of Christ' doesn't make much sense as an expression of sudden emotion!

I don't see why not, really - "Christ's foot!" and "Christ's blood!" were both popular in the past, and no doubt a few other parts of his body - so why not his wrist?
